Indrajith (1989 Film)
''Indrajith'' is a 1989 Indian Kannada-language film directed and written by K. V. Raju. The film stars Ambareesh and Deepika, with Devaraj, Shashikumar and Keerthi in supporting roles. The music and lyrics of the film were composed and written by Hamsalekha. Plot Indrajith, an honest cop, is betrayed, accused of bribery and thrown behind the bars when he investigates a high-profile case related to an influential gangster. Upon release, he reunites with his wife and his son (who has been brought up by an old friend). He teams up with Fernandez, a handicapped police informant and a betrayed ex-cop, and develops an army of youngsters to battle corruption and seek revenge. Malavalli Huchchegowda Amarnath (29 May 1952 – 24 November 2018), known by his screen name Ambareesh, was an Indian actor, media personality, politician from the state of Karnataka. Alongside Rajkumar and Vishnuvardhan, he is counted in Kannada cinema's "triumvirate" as its most celebrated actor. With his debut in Puttanna Kanagal's ''Naagarahaavu'' (1972), Ambareesh's acting career commenced with a brief phase of portraying antagonistic and supporting characters. Shashi Kumar (born 2 December 1965) is an actor and politician from Karnataka. He works predominantly in Kannada films. Acting career Shashi Kumar's first released film was ''Chiranjeevi Sudhakara'' starring Raghavendra Rajkumar. In 1989 he became popular with ''Yuddha Kaanda'' starring V.
