MATRADE Exhibition And Convention Centre
MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre (MECC) ( ms, Pusat Pameran dan Konvensyen MATRADE) is a trade centre, exhibition hall, and convention centre in the suburb of Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. MECC, established by MATRADE (Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation), provides convention facilities, exhibition halls, and meeting rooms. MATRADE has also allocated a permanent exhibition space for 400 local companies at the exhibition hall on the second floor. The centre is also a component of Naza Group of Companies, Naza TTDI’s KL Metropolis development which is expected to be fully completed within 12 to 15 years time. In operation since 2 January 2007, MECC has hosted many trade related events. Indoor Hockey At The 2019 SEA Games
The indoor hockey competitions at the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines were held at the LB Centro Mall & Convention Center in Los Banos, Laguna from 4 to 10 December 2019. There were competitions in two events (one event for each gender). Indonesia had arrived with the intention of participating both their Men's and Women's Team. However, due to conflict back home with officiating clubs and the organization the FIH disallowed their participation. They had left a few days after this forced withdrawal of participation. Indoor Hockey
Indoor hockey is an indoor variant of field hockey. It is similar to the outdoor game in that two teams compete to move a hard ball into the goal of the opposing side using hockey sticks. Indoor hockey is played on a smaller area and between smaller teams than field hockey and the sidelines are replaced by solid barriers from which the ball rebounds and remains in play. It is traditionally and mainly played as a pastime by outdoor field hockey players during the off-season or when conditions are unsuitable for outdoor play. Indoor hockey is played in regular national and international championships. The first Indoor Hockey World Cup was organized in 2003. Segambut is a sub-district and a parliamentary constituency in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Hockey is a term used to denote a family of various types of both summer and winter team sports which originated on either an outdoor field, sheet of ice, or dry floor such as in a gymnasium. While these sports vary in specific rules, numbers of players, apparel and, notably, playing surface, they share broad characteristics of two teams playing against each other to propel a ball or disk into a goal with a stick.
