Indonesian League
The Indonesian League in badminton is a team competition established in 2007 and held in Indonesia. The total prize will be around US$98,000. History This league has been conceptualized since 2003, but until four years later it had not become real due to the numerous obstacles. The first competition was held for 10 days in Jakarta beginning June 21, 2007. Format The competition involves eight Indonesian clubs in the final rounds, with a format similar to the Thomas and Uber Cup. The five best clubs will qualify for the final, and qualifying rounds will be competitions for the other three places. The teams Ten men's teams from ten clubs had a qualification round. Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side's half of the court. Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. Play ends once the shuttlecock has struck the floor or if a fault has been called by the umpire, service judge, or (in their absence) the opposing side. The shuttlecock is a feathered or (in informal matches) plastic projectile which flies differently from the balls used in many other sports. Sony Dwi Kuncoro
Sony Dwi Kuncoro (born 7 July 1984) is a badminton singles player from Indonesia. He was the 2004 Olympic bronze medalist, two-time World Championships medalist (silver–2007, bronze–2009) and three-time Asian Champion (2002, 2003, 2005). He reached a career high as world number 3 in 7 October 2004. Personal life He plays badminton after his father introduced him at 7 years old, and at 8 years old he joined the Suryanaga Surabaya Badminton Club. Currently, he joins the Tjakrindo Masters Badminton Club in Surabaya. His parents are Moch. Sumadji (father) and Asmiati (mother). His hobbies are fixing automobiles and hanging-out or travelling. Albertus Susanto Njoto
Albertus Susanto Njoto (; born 27 October 1976) is a badminton player from Indonesia. He moved to Hong Kong due to tight competition in Indonesia. In Hong Kong, he partnered with another Indonesian, Yohan Hadikusumo Wiratama, in men's doubles. He won the men's doubles title at the Philippines Open in 2006, and also was the mixed doubles bronze medallist at the 2005 Asian Badminton Championships The 2005 Asian Badminton Championships was the 24th edition of the Asian Badminton Championships. Yohan Hadikusumo Wiratama
Yohan Hadikusumo Wiratama (; born 6 April 1977) is a badminton player from Indonesia. He is a younger brother of Olympic gold medalist from Indonesia, Alan Budikusuma. He moved to Hong Kong due to tight competition in Indonesia. In Hong Kong, he partnered with another Indonesian who moved to Hong Kong, Albertus Susanto Njoto, in men's doubles. Career Wiratama came from the Djarum Kudus badminton club, and in 2002, he started to represent Hong Kong. He competed at the 2006 and 2010 Asian Games. He was the mixed doubles bronze medallist at the 2009 East Asian Games. Alvent Yulianto
Alvent Yulianto Chandra (born 11 July 1980) is a badminton player from Indonesia. Born in Glenmore, Banyuwangi, East Java, he has been playing badminton since he was 10 years old in a club named Suryanaga Gudang Garam Surabaya. Personal life On 16 October 2021, Yulianto married Freeisy Ester Sompie, also an Indonesian badminton player. Their holy matrimony was held at GMIM Sion Tumaluntung, North Minahasa. Career Yulianto is a men's doubles specialist. In 2004, he and partner Luluk Hadiyanto won four top tier tournaments on the international circuit, the Indonesia, Korea, Singapore, and Thailand Opens. Tri Kusharjanto (born 18 January 1974) is a badminton player from Indonesia. His name also appears variously as ''Tri Kusharyanto, Trikus Harjanto, Trikus Heryanto, and Trikus Haryanto''. Simon Santoso
Simon Santoso (born 29 July 1985) is an Indonesian former badminton player. He was two-time Southeast Asian Games men's singles champion winning in 2009 and 2011, also featured in Indonesia team that won the men's team title in 2003, 2007, 2009, and 2011. Santoso won the Indonesia Open a Superseries Premier tournament in 2012. He reached a career high as world number 3 in August 2010. Career When he was young, Santoso joined the Tangkas Jakarta badminton club before joining the Indonesian National team. In 2005, he won the Vietnam Satellite and the silver medal at the 2005 Southeast Asian Games. Chen Hong (badminton)
Chen Hong (; born November 28, 1979 in Changting County, Fujian) is a former Chinese badminton player. Career During the first several years of the 21st century Chen rated among the world's leading singles players, achieving a number one world ranking in 2002–2003. He won the Swedish Open and the Asian Championships in 1999 as a nineteen-year-old. His subsequent titles included the Dutch (2000), Singapore (2002, 2003), Denmark (2002, 2006), Malaysia (2003), China (2005, 2006), and Thailand (2007) Opens.
