Persatuan Bola Basket Seluruh Indonesia ( en, Indonesian Basketball Association), abbreviated as PERBASI, is the main basketball regulatory organizations in Indonesia. Founded on 23 October 1951, the organization has its headquarters in Jakarta. History The association was founded in 1952, when Tony Wen and Wim Latumeten requested by Maladi who was then serving as Secretary of KONI to develop basketball sports organizations Indonesia. On 23 October 1952, Indonesia basketball association formed under the name Persatuan Basketball Seluruh Indonesia abbreviated as PERBASI. Tony Wen positions as chairman and the secretary is Wim Latumeten. At 1955, the name was changed and adapted to the Indonesian vocabulary, become Persatuan Bola Basket Seluruh Indonesia, but still abbreviated as PERBASI. 2019 FIBA 3x3 World Cup – Women's Tournament
The 2019 FIBA 3x3 World Cup was held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The tournament consisted of 20 teams. Italy were the defending champions but were defeated in the Quarterfinals by France. 2023 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup
The 2023 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup was the sixth edition of the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup. There are 80 games being played in 2023, with half in the qualification draw and the other half in the main draw. The men and women's champions will win a spot at one of the qualifying tournaments for the 2024 Paris Olympics. It is estimated that over 5,000 spectators watched the event at the Singapore Sports Hub OCBC Square, with tickets costing $5. The 2019 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup was the fourth edition of the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup. The games of the final tournament were held in Changsha, China between 24 May and 26 May 2019. Participating teams The FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup has a men's and women's tournament, each contested by twelve national teams. The teams were drawn into their groups as per their FIBA 3x3 Federation Ranking as of March 1, 2019. Nine teams for the men's team and ten teams for the women's team outright qualified for the final tournament while the remaining berths were contested in a qualification phase held from 22 to 23 May, 2019. 2013 Islamic Solidarity Games
The 3rd Islamic Solidarity Games was an international sporting event held in Palembang, Indonesia from 22 September to 1 October 2013. The 2009 event, originally scheduled to take place in Iran, and later re-scheduled for April 2010, was cancelled after a dispute arose between Iran and the Arab countries. Host selection Indonesia was announced as the host for the Games on April 2011 with Pekanbaru, Riau, as the host city. The Games were then relocated to Jakarta citing lack of standard in some venues combined with a corruption case involving Governor of Riau, Rusli Zainal. Palembang was finally selected as the host city and the Games were delayed about three months from the original time frame in June.
