Indonesia U-23 Team
The Indonesia national under-23 football team ( Indonesia: Tim Nasional Sepak Bola Indonesia U-23) is considered to be the feeder team for the Indonesia national football team, represents Indonesia at football in the Olympic Games, Asian Games and Southeast Asian Games, as well as any other under-23 international football tournaments including the AFC U-23 Asian Cup. It is controlled by the Football Association of Indonesia. This team was founded when the Olympic football was changed to an under-23 competition, and is also managed as under-22 team while it doesn't play in major competitions. Kit The kits used are usually follow the senior team's kits. However, they sometimes used kits with different manufacturers. In 2006 Asian Games, they used Puma kits. For the 2018 Asian Games and 2021 Southeast Asian Games, they will use Li-Ning kits after the Indonesian Olympic Committee reached full sponsorship agreement with the apparel. The Football Association of Indonesia ( id, Persatuan Sepakbola Seluruh Indonesia; 'All-Indonesian Football Association'; abbreviated as PSSI) is the governing body of Football soccer, football in Indonesia. The association football tournament at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games (Indonesian: ''Sepak bola di SEA Games 2011'') took place from 3 to 21 November 2011. This edition of the tournament was only for the men's competition. No women's competition was held as the host nation Indonesia did not have enough stadiums to host two categories of football at the same time, but other reasons were put into consideration, such as the poor performance of the Indonesian women's national team. It was played among U-23 (under 23 years old) national teams. All matches took place in Jakarta. Football At The 2021 Southeast Asian Games – Men's Tournament
The men's football tournament at the 2021 Southeast Asian Games was held from 6 – 22 May 2022 in Vietnam. Ten Southeast Asian nations participated in the men's tournament. The group stage and semi-finals were played in Việt Trì and Nam Định, while Hanoi hosted the bronze and gold medal matches. Men's teams are restricted to under-23 players (born on or after 1 January 1999) with a maximum of three over-aged players allowed. The tournament was won by Vietnam, who won their second title as a unified nation, having previously won it in 2019, and their third title in total, by beating Thailand 1–0 in the final. Indonesia won the bronze medal after defeating Malaysia on penalties. 2019 AFF U-22 Youth Championship
The 2019 AFF U-22 Youth Championship or AFF U-22 LG Cup 2019 was the 2nd edition of the AFF U-22 Youth Championship organised by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF). Indonesia won the tournament after defeating Thailand 2–1 in the final. The tournament was held from 17 to 26 February in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This was its first as an under-22 tournament, with the previous edition being an under-23 tournament. 2005 AFF U-23 Youth Championship winners Thailand were the defending champions, as there was no competition from 2006 to 2018 and the 2011 edition was cancelled.
