Indonesia At The 2022 Asian Games
Indonesia competed at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou. Originally scheduled to take place in 2022, the Games were postponed and rescheduled to 2023, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Indonesia competed with 413 athletes. Background Administration National Olympic Committee of Indonesia assigned the minister of public works and public housing, Basuki Hadimuljono, as chef de mission for the Indonesian contingent. Flag bearers Hernanda Zulfi (Volleyball) and Nandhira Mauriskha (Wushu) were the Indonesian flag bearers at 2022 Asian Games opening ceremony. Zulfi wore complete traditional clothing from Rote Island, an island at the southernmost tip of Indonesia which is part of the East Nusa Tenggara region. Indonesian Olympic Committee ( id, Komite Olimpiade Indonesia, abbreviate: KOI) is the national Olympic committee of Indonesia and the member of Olympic Council of Asia. Their duty is to organize Indonesian participation in international sporting events, such as Summer Olympic Games, Asian Games, Southeast Asian Games, etc. As well as submitting bid for Indonesia as the host, planning and organizing official international sporting events to be held in Indonesia. Cricket At The 2022 Asian Games
Cricket will be one of the 37 sports to be played at the 2022 Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou, China. Both men's and women's Twenty20 International tournaments will be held. Prior to this edition, cricket was last played at the Asian Games in 2014. The Asian Games were originally planned to take place in September 2022, but were later postponed by one year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
