The individual jumping competition at the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games was held between August 29 and September 3, 2006. Medalists Complete results Round 1 The first round of the individual jumping competition was held on August 29, 2006. It was a speed class. Round 2 A Part A of the second round of the individual jumping competition was held on August 30, 2006. B Part B of the second round of the individual jumping competition was held on August 31, 2006. *Grégory Wathelet withdrew prior to round 3, leaving the first reserve rider, Ricardo Jurado, with his spot. 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games
The 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games were held in Aachen, Germany from August 20 to September 3, 2006. They were the 5th edition of the games which are held every four years and run by the FEI. It was held in the Soers, a district of Aachen. The main stadium of this event was the Hauptstadion. Host selection On September 18, 2002 in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, the FEI awarded the 2006 Games to Aachen. The only other host city applicant was Lexington, Kentucky, United States (which was later awarded the following edition of the Games in 2010). Events 16 events in 7 disciplines were held in Aachen. Participating nations 59 National Equestrian Federations sent athletes to the Aachen games. Ludo Philippaerts
Ludo Philippaerts (born 22 June 1963) is a Belgian show jumping rider. He is a native of Genk, Limburg, Belgium. Career Philippaerts is a four-time Olympian. As an individual, he ranked 4th at both the 2000 Olympic Games and the 2004 Olympic Games. In Athens, the Belgian team, of which he was a part, ranked 6th. At the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Philippaerts and his late champion horse, Darco, ranked 7th. Philippaerts won the 2008 FEI World Cup final in Mechelen, 26–30 December 2008. At the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games in Aachen, he had an individual rank of 9 and a team rank of 7. He competed at the World Equestrian Games twice before, in 1998 and 1990. He was the BP Cup Champion in Spruce Meadows in 2006 and the 2006 winner of the Global Champions Tour. Samantha McIntosh
Samantha (Sam) McIntosh is a showjumper and equestrian from New Zealand. Life McIntosh is the daughter of two riders, trainers and showjumpers, Penny Stevenson and Colin McIntosh. She was born and grew up in Kaikohe, in the North Island of New Zealand, and began showjumping when she was about 15 years old. McIntosh moved to Europe when she was 17 years old and worked as a stablehand for Thomas Fuchs, Marcus Mändli and then in Germany with Lüthi Orschel. In 1998 she signed a contract with Orschel which included adopting dual New Zealand-Bulgarian citizenship, and began riding for Bulgaria. McIntosh competed for Bulgaria at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games, the World Equestrian Games, the European Championships and the FEI World Cup. The Olona (''Olona'' in Italian; ''Ulona'', ''Urona'' or ''Uòna'' in Western Lombard) is an Italian river belonging to the Po Basin, long, that runs through the Province of Varese and Metropolitan City of Milan whose course is developed entirely in Lombardy. The river born at 548 meters above sea level in the Fornaci della Riana locality at the Rasa of Varese, at the Sacro Monte di Varese, within the Campo dei Fiori Regional Park. After crossing the Valle Olona and the Alto Milanese, the Olona reaches Rho where it pours part of its water into the Canale Scolmatore Nord Ovest.
