Indio, Bovey Tracey
Indio (anciently ''Indehoe, Indiho'', etc.) in the parish of Bovey Tracey in Devon, is an historic estate. The present large mansion house, known as Indio House is a grade II listed building rebuilt in 1850, situated about 1/2 mile south of Bovey Tracey Church, on the opposite side of the River Bovey. According to the Devon historian Pole (d.1635) it was originally a priory, however research from 1840 onwards has suggested it was more likely merely a grange farm, a possession of St John’s Hospital, Bridgwater, Somerset, from 1216. Descent St John's Hospital, Bridgwater In 1219 Henry de Tracy, feudal baron of Barnstaple and lord of the manor of Bovey Tracey, gave the church and some lands within the manor, including Indio, to St John's Hospital in Bridgwater, Somerset. Club de Fútbol Indios de Ciudad Juárez, commonly referred as Indios de Ciudad Juárez or simply Indios, was a Mexican football club. Founded in 2005 when CF Pachuca moved its Pachuca Juniors to Ciudad Juárez, it was promoted to the Primera División de México after the 2007–2008 season, with Pachuca divesting its shares upon promotion. However, the team was relegated back to the Liga de Ascenso following the 2010 Clausura and folded in 2015. Overview During its time in Mexico's second-tier football league, the Primera División A Indios enjoyed much success. In Clausura 2006, Indios played in the league final and lost to Querétaro F.C. on penalty kicks, narrowly missing promotion. Indio (coin)
The indio was a silver coin minted by the Portuguese government as a currency to support trade with India. There are only two recovered coins of this mintage, making it very rare. History Following the discovery by Vasco da Gama, King Manuel I of Portugal ordered the indio, as well as the português, to be minted to support trade with India. The indio was minted for less than five years, being discontinued prior to 1504 in favor of the tostão. Design According to Damião de Góis, the weight of the coin was ordered to equal the mass of the coins used by Italy, 3 grams. The reverse side bears markings from the Military Order of Christ, which King Manuel had also adopted as his personal insignia. Examples There are only two recovered coins of this type. "Índios" is a song composed by Renato Russo, released in 1986 on the ''Dois (album), Dois'' album by Legião Urbana and also released as the third single from the album in December the same year. A live version was also released in 2001 as a single from the live album ''Como é Que Se Diz Eu te Amo''. The song's title includes quotation marks. According to Russo, they are used to indicate that the title does not refer to Brazil's first inhabitants, but to the innocence instilled in the country's people since its beginnings, with them always being fooled by their leaders. Indecent Obsession (also seen as Obsession) were an Australian pop rock band formed early in 1987 in Brisbane with founding mainstays Daryl Sims on drums and Michael Szumowski on keyboards. By 1988 the line-up also included Andrew Coyne on lead guitar and David Dixon on lead vocals. They released three studio albums, '' Spoken Words'' (November 1989) and ''Indio'' (August 1992), both reached the top 50 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
