Charlotte Marie Edwards (born 17 December 1979) is an English former cricketer and current cricket coach and commentator. She played primarily as a right-handed batter. Louise Noreen McCarthy (born 18 October 1993) is an Irish cricketer who plays as a right-arm medium bowler. She made her international debut for Ireland in 2010 at the age of 16, and went on to play 28 One Day Internationals and 28 Twenty20 Internationals between 2010 and 2017. Martin John Saggers (born 23 May 1972) is an English county cricket umpire and a retired English cricketer. He played international cricket for the England cricket team, including appearing in three Test matches and spent the majority of his first-class cricket career at Kent County Cricket Club. Saggers was born in King's Lynn in Norfolk. Saggers had little success in his three seasons with Durham between 1996 and 1998, but then joined Kent and from 2000 to 2003 took more than 50 first-class wickets each year, his best being 83 in 2002. County Cricket Ground, Chelmsford
The Essex County Ground (ECG) is a cricket venue in Chelmsford, Essex, England. It has been used by Essex County Cricket Club for first-class cricket since 1925 and List A matches since 1969, and has been the county's official home ground since 1967. The ground has a capacity of 6,500, mostly in single-tier seating with a single double-tiered stand. Its pavilion was completed in the 1970s. History Essex's first match at the ground took place in June 1925 against Oxford University. and their first County Championship game at Chelmsford was against Somerset in 1926. George Sharp (born 12 March 1950) is an English former first-class cricketer and umpire. He was born at West Hartlepool, County Durham. Playing career Sharp spent 17 years at Northamptonshire and played more than 300 games, as a wicketkeeper batsman. Umpiring career Sharp umpired 15 Tests and 31 One Day Internationals. He umpired over 300 matches in First-class and List A cricket. Sharp continued to umpire matches in England until 2015, when he turned 65. ECB policy requires all umpires to retire when they reach this age, in order to allow younger umpires to gain employment. The St Lawrence Ground is a cricket ground in Canterbury, Kent. It is the home ground of Kent County Cricket Club and since 2013 has been known as The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, due to commercial sponsorship. It is one of the oldest grounds on which first-class cricket is played, having been in use since 1847, and is the venue for Canterbury Cricket Week, the oldest cricket festival in the world.
