Indian Super League Golden Boot
The Indian Super League Golden Boot is an annual association football award presented to the leading goalscorer in the Indian Super League. For sponsorship purposes, it was known as the Alto K10 Golden Boot from 2014 to 2015, the Swift Golden Boot from 2016 to 2019 and the Maruti Suzuki Golden Boot in 2020. The Indian Super League was founded in 2013, eight teams competed in the 2014 inaugural season. It became the joint top-tier of Indian football league system by 2017–18 season and is the top-tier since 2022–23 season. Elano of Chennaiyin won the inaugural award in 2014. Coro won the Golden Boot award twice with Goa, more than any other player. Each of Bartholomew Ogbeche (Kerala Blasters), Roy Krishna ( ATK) and Nerijus Valskis (Chennaiyin) scored 15 goals in 2019–20 season. Coro (footballer)
Ferran Corominas Telechea (born 5 January 1983), known as Coro, is a Spanish former footballer who played as a forward. He spent the majority of his professional career with Espanyol, appearing in 200 competitive games while scoring 24 goals and winning the 2006 Copa del Rey with the club. In 2017 he signed with Goa in the Indian Super League, winning several team and individual accolades and also being at one point the competition's all-time top-scorer. Nerijus Valskis (born 4 August 1987) is a Lithuanian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Kauno Žalgiris and Lithuania national team. Igor Angulo Alboniga (born 26 January 1984) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a forward. Formed at Athletic Bilbao, he appeared in only five competitive matches during his spell at the club. The 2020–21 Indian Super League season was the seventh season of the Indian Super League (ISL) since its formation and the 25th season of the top division of the Indian football league system. The 2018–19 Indian Super League season was the fifth season of the Indian Super League, one of the top Indian professional football leagues. It was established in 2013. The regular season began on 29 September 2018 and concluded on 17 March 2019. The league took a mid-season break for around one month from 17 December 2018 to early January 2019 due to India's participation in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup. Chennaiyin were the defending champions, having defeated Bengaluru in the 2018 final, however they did not qualify for the playoffs having finished the last in the regular season. The season featured eight teams again, each playing 14 matches during the regular season before the finals. The regular season began on 1 October and ended on 4 December. John Stiven Mendoza Valencia (born 27 June 1992) is a Colombian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club Santos.
