Norman Foster (director)
Norman Foster (born Norman Foster Hoeffer, December 13, 1903 – July 7, 1976) was an American film director, screenwriter and actor. He directed many Charlie Chan and Mr. Moto films as well as projects for Orson Welles and Walt Disney. As an actor he was a leading man in early talkies and also appeared in Welles' final film ''The Other Side of the Wind''. Life and career Norman Foster was born Norman Foster Hoeffer on December 13, 1903, in Richmond, Indiana. He became a cub reporter on a local newspaper in Indiana before going to New York in the hopes of getting a better newspaper job but there were no vacancies. Pat Hogan
Pat Hogan (born Thurman Lee Haas; February 3, 1920 – November 21, 1966) was an American actor. He mostly played Native Americans over the course of his career. He was best known for his portrayal of Chief Red Stick in the film ''Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier'' (1955). Career Born in Oklahoma to Claude Red Elk and Ann McTigue, Hogan was a member of the Oneida tribe. He attended Roosevelt High School in St. Louis and Pasadena Junior College, where he studied art. He appeared in many western television series and a few movies. Onstage, he starred in Arrowhead (1953), The Last Frontier (1955)Indian Paint (1965). Indian Paint starred his brothers-in-law, Johnny Crawford and Robert L. "Bobby" Crawford Jr. He was married to their sister, who now goes by the name of Nance Crawford. Crown International Pictures (CIP) was an independent film studio and distribution company formed in 1959 by Newton P. Jacobs. History Jacobs was a branch head of RKO Pictures until 1947, when he formed Favorite Films, an organization which released films acquired from the studios which had originally produced them, long after their first run release.
