Oneida County is a county in the state of Wisconsin, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 37,845. Its county seat is Rhinelander. History Oneida County was formed in 1887 from sections of Lincoln County. It was named after the indigenous Oneida tribe, one of the five nations of the Iroquois. Sugar Camp is a town in Oneida County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,694 at the 2010 census. The unincorporated community of Sugar Camp is located in the town History Sugar Camp was known as 'Robbins' until the 1940s. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, and other sources, the town has a total area of 98.0 square miles (253.9 km2), of which, 88.9 square miles (230.2 km2) of it is land and 9.1 square miles (23.7 km2) of it (9.33%) is water.
