The Indian Federation of United Nations Associations is the leading independent policy authority on the United Nations in India and an India-wide grassroots membership organisation. Indian Federation of United Nations Associations ( IFUNA ) was established more than six decades ago. Indian Federation of United Nations Associations is affiliated with the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA). IFUNA is the only body to represent India in the U.N. Forums. The 1st President of IFUNA was Late Smt. Vijaya Laxmi Pandit who represented India as President of the General Assembly of United Nations. A Galaxy of Luminaries had adorned the office of President of IFUNA. New Delhi (, , ''Naī Dillī'') is the capital of India and a part of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT). New Delhi is the seat of all three branches of the government of India, hosting the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House, and the Supreme Court of India. United Nations Association
A United Nations Association (UNA) is a non-governmental organization that exist in various countries to enhance the relationship between the people of member states and the United Nations to raise public awareness of the UN and its work, to promote the general goals of the UN. The League of Nations Union (LNU) was an organization formed in October 1918 in Great Britain to promote international justice, collective security and a permanent peace between nations based upon the ideals of the League of Nations.
