Independent Wrestling Federation (Russia)
Independent Wrestling Federation (IWF, russian: Независимая федерация реслинга (НФР)) is a professional wrestling promotion based in Moscow, Russia. The promotion was founded by Vadim Koryagin in 2002. IWF is the first and longest-running promotion in Russia. IWF has held over 200 shows, mostly in Moscow. On average, the shows are attended by 100-150 spectators. From 2005 to 2010, IWF shows was aired on Russian national television on 7TV and Russian Extreme channels. History The first attempt to launch professional wrestling in Russia was the rWo (Russian World Order or Russian Wrestling Organization) project. In 2001, a group of enthusiasts from various cities in Russia and the CIS launched a website and a mailing list, the purpose was to find and unite wrestling fans, study the moves and techniques, and further conduct wrestling shows. Natalia Markova (russian: Наталья Маркова; born 11 January 1989) is a Russian professional wrestler. She is currently signed to the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and also wrestles on the independent circuit. Markova began her career in 2007 with the Russian promotion Independent Wrestling Federation (NFR), where she performed until 2017. A suplex is an offensive move used in sport wrestling as well as amateur wrestling and professional wrestling. It is a throw that involves lifting the opponents and bridging or rolling to slam them on their backs. Professional wrestling features many different varieties of suplexes (). These are among the most common, but many more exist, particularly as the signature techniques of individual wrestlers. Front facelock variants In these suplexes, the wrestlers begin by facing each other, the attacking wrestler then applies a front facelock to the opponent before executing a throw.
