Independent Wrestling Federation (IWF, russian: Независимая федерация реслинга (НФР)) is a professional wrestling promotion based in Moscow, Russia. The promotion was founded by Vadim Koryagin in 2002. IWF is the first and longest-running promotion in Russia. IWF has held over 200 shows, mostly in Moscow. On average, the shows are attended by 100-150 spectators. From 2005 to 2010, IWF shows was aired on Russian national television on 7TV and Russian Extreme channels. History The first attempt to launch professional wrestling in Russia was the rWo (Russian World Order or Russian Wrestling Organization) project. Natalia Markova
Natalia Markova (russian: Наталья Маркова; born 11 January 1989) is a Russian professional wrestler. She is currently signed to the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and also wrestles on the independent circuit. Markova began her career in 2007 with the Russian promotion Independent Wrestling Federation (NFR), where she performed until 2017. She also toured Japan where she worked for DDT Pro-Wrestling and Wrestling New Classic from 2011 to 2013. She resumed her career in 2016 after a two-year hiatus. She debuted in North America in 2017. Suplex
A suplex is an offensive move used in sport wrestling as well as amateur wrestling and professional wrestling. It is a throw that involves lifting the opponents and bridging or rolling to slam them on their backs. Professional wrestling features many different varieties of suplexes (). These are among the most common, but many more exist, particularly as the signature techniques of individual wrestlers. Front facelock variants In these suplexes, the wrestlers begin by facing each other, the attacking wrestler then applies a front facelock to the opponent before executing a throw. In most cases, the opponent is suspended upside-down during part of the move. The most common front facelock suplex is the vertical suplex. Fallaway suplex Also known as a reverse suplex. Victor Dzantemirovich Zangiev (russian: Виктор Дзантемирович Зангиев, os, Зæнджиаты Дзантемиры фырт Виктор; born 26 May 1962) is a retired Soviet and Russian freestyle wrestler of Ossetian origin, who wrestled professionally in Japan, where he became the cultural inspiration for the Zangief character of the ''Street Fighter'' series. Amateur wrestling career Victor Zangiev was an amateur wrestler from the Soviet Union. In 1981, he reversed the first seat in the 100 kg class for the Junior World Championships in freestyle wrestling. Retesh Bhalla (born April 7, 1982) is an American professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as a producer and manager. The is a professional wrestling championship and the top singles accomplishment in the Japanese promotion Pro-Wrestling Basara. The title was established in 2013. History Union Pro Wrestling was a promotion that was revived by DDT Pro-Wrestling in 2005. The Union Max Championship was established in 2013 when Ivan Markov defeated Shuji Ishikawa to become the inaugural champion. In January 2016, three days after folding, Union was replaced by a new promotion named Pro-Wrestling Basara. is a Japanese professional wrestler, currently signed to All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW), where he is a former Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion, World Tag Team Champion and the winner of the 2017 Champion Carnival. Ishikawa is also known for his work in DDT Pro-Wrestling and Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW), as well as numerous other independent promotions.
