Independent Liberal Party (Chile)
The Independent Liberal Party or Doctrinary ( es, Partido Independiente Liberal) was an independent Chilean political party which was formed during Domingo Santa María's presidency by a group of parliament members, known as the doctrinaries, who opposed him. The party began with a manifesto published on 22 October 1885. They were members of some presidential cabinets from 1891 onwards. Its founders were Miguel Luis Amunategui, Gregorio Víctor Amunategui, Vicente Reyes, Eliodoro Yáñez, Ismael Valdés and José Victorino Lastarria. Its party platform wanted an increase of public liberties, to apply universal suffrage and to establish a real democratic regime. The ILP could be seen as a tendency in the Liberal Party, it usually shared its candidate lists, but its members used to vote in a different way than the official one. Independent Liberal Party (Nicaragua)
The Independent Liberal Party ( es, Partido Liberal Independiente - PLI) is a Nicaraguan political party, which separated from Somoza's Nationalist Liberal Party (PLN) in 1944 and took part in the probably fraudulent election of 1947, won by Somoza's favored candidate. The PLI participated in the 1984 election, winning 9.6% of vote for President with its candidate Virgilio Godoy. In 1990 it was part of the National Opposition Union (UNO) - a broad alliance of Sandinista regime opponents - with Virgilio Godoy running as the vice-presidential candidate. UNO won the elections with 54% of the vote. The UNO alliance split in 1993, and in the 1996 elections the PLI, under the candidature of Virgilio Godoy, suffered its worst electoral debacle, receiving only 0.32% of the vote. The Independent Liberal Party is a political party of Trinidad and Tobago. It was formed in July 2013, after Jack Warner was not reselected as the candidate for the Chaguanas West by-election for the United National Congress (UNC) party. It was launched at a political rally, in Jubilee Grounds, Pierre Road, Chaguanas. Founder Jack Warner resigned in September, 2015 following the party defeat in the 2015 general election. He was replaced by attorney Rekha Ramjit, who had previously served as the party's chairman, and who defeated Simeon Mahabir in a 10 October 2015 internal party election.
