The Independence Hall of Korea () is a Korean history museum in Cheonan, South Korea. Opened on August 15, 1987, it has the largest exhibition facility in South Korea, with a total floor area of . The museum primarily focuses on the Korean independence movement of the Japanese colonial period. however, the first exhibition hall, the Hall of National Heritage, is dedicated to the period ranging from prehistoric times to the Joseon dynasty. It has seven indoor exhibition halls and a Circle Vision Theater. Exhibits There are seven exhibition spaces. The first exhibition includes the ''Veritable Records of the Joseon Dynasty, a'' manual that shows the interpretation of Hangeul and its usage with also the introduction written by King Sejong the Great, and other artifacts, and a recreation of the turtle ship. The Museum of Japanese Colonial History in Korea () is a privately owned history museum in the Yongsan District of Seoul, South Korea. Its collections cover the period between 1910 and 1945 when Korea was under Japanese rule. Collections The museum's permanent collection comprises over 70,000 artifacts from the colonial period. Dongnimmun () or Independence Gate is a memorial gate at Seoul, built by Soh Jaipil in late 19th century, as a symbol of Korea's commitment to independence around the world. It is designated as Historic Sites of South Korea in 1963, and relocated to 70m northwest from original location in 1979 for preservation. Sungshin Women's University (Korean: 성신여자대학교) is a private women's university located in Seoul, South Korea. It was founded in 1936 by Dr. Sook-Chong Lee.
