Inalcanzable (song)
"Inalcanzable" (English: "Unattainable") is a song by Mexican pop group RBD. Written by Carlos Lara and co-produced with Pedro Damián, it was released as the lead single for the group's fourth Spanish-language studio album, ''Empezar Desde Cero'' (2007). The melancholic ballad combines piano with acoustic guitars and some wind instruments in its production. RBD confirmed the release of the single at the "Worldwide RBD Day" press conference held on October 4, 2007. The song was released to radio stations and made available as a digital download on October 8. The song was well received by music critics and garnered award nominations on Premios Lo Nuestro, Premios Orgullosamente Latino and Premios Juventud. The song's accompanying music video went on to win an Orgullosamente Latino Award in 2008 in the category for 'Latin Music Video of the Year'. ''Empezar Desde Cero'' (English: ''Starting From Zero'') is the fifth studio album by Mexican pop group RBD, released simultaneously in Mexico and the United States on November 20, 2007. The album contains two songs composed by two of RBD's band members: Alfonso Herrera and Christopher Uckermann. ''Empezar Desde Cero'' falls into the genres of Latin pop and pop rock. The album received a nomination for 'Best Pop Album by a Duo/Group with Vocals' at the 9th Annual Latin Grammy Awards in 2008. In the United States, ''Empezar Desde Cero'' debuted at #1 on both the ''Billboard'' Top Latin Albums and ''Billboard'' Latin Pop Albums charts, while peaking at #60 on the main ''Billboard'' 200 chart. The ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Songs (formerly Hot Latin Tracks and Hot Latin 50) is a record chart in the United States for Latin songs, published weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. Since October 2012, chart rankings are based on digital sales, radio airplay, and online streaming, and only predominantly Spanish language songs are allowed to rank. The chart was established by the magazine on September 6, 1986, and was originally based on airplay on Latin music radio stations. Rafael Castillo Torres, known professionally as De La Ghetto, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter, originally part of the duo Arcángel & De La Ghetto. His name is a reference to a 1990 episode of ''The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air''. Early life and career Rafael Castillo, Jr. was born in New York and moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico, at the age of eight. He is the son of a Dominican father and a Puerto Rican mother. Jowell & Randy are a Puerto Rican reggaeton duo composed of Joel Muñoz (born March 3, 1982) and Randy Ortiz (born July 16, 1983). The duo have been active since the early-2000s and have become one of the most popular acts in reggaeton.
