''In with the Out Crowd'' is the sixth studio album by American ska-punk band Less Than Jake, released on May 23, 2006 on Sire Records. Produced by Howard Benson, who had previously worked with the band on their third studio album, ''Hello Rockview'' (1998), the album was preceded by the single "Overrated (Everything Is)" and an EP of material recorded during the same sessions, entitled ''Absolution for Idiots and Addicts''. Background and recording In September and October 2005, the band went on a short tour, leading up to recording of their next album. During it, they performed a few of the 20 songs they had written in the months prior. Less Than Jake recorded their next album in November and December 2005. Sessions were held at Bay 7 Studios in Valley Village, Los Angeles, Valley Village, California and Sparky Dark Studio in Calabasas, California. Foo Fighters
Foo Fighters are an American rock band formed in Seattle in 1994. Foo Fighters was initially formed as a one-man project by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. Following the success of the eponymous debut album, Grohl (lead vocals, guitar) recruited a band consisting of Nate Mendel (bass guitar), William Goldsmith (drums), and Pat Smear (guitar). After a succession of lineup changes, including the departures of Goldsmith and Smear, the band formed its core lineup in 1999 consisting of Grohl, Mendel, Chris Shiflett (guitar), and Taylor Hawkins (drums). Westfield Topanga & The Village is a shopping mall in the Canoga Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It spans and houses anchor stores Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Macy's, and Target. History Opened on February 10, 1964, Topanga Plaza was California's first enclosed shopping mall. The original anchors were May Company, Montgomery Ward, and The Broadway. The "Rain Fountain" on the south end consisted of several circular arrays of vertical monofilament lines stretching from the ceiling to a raised landscaped area on the floor. The effect of the rain was created by droplets of recirculated glycerine slowly descending along the wetted lines. Damone is an American rock band. The band originated in Waltham, a city located just west of Boston, Massachusetts and consisted of Noelle LeBlanc (vocals/guitar), Mike Woods (guitar), Michael Vazquez (bass guitar) and Dustin Hengst (drums). History The band was formed by Adam Rourke and then-teenage singer/guitarist Noelle LeBlanc. The band was originally known as Noelle, and released an album called ''This Summer'' under that name, which was later re-recorded as ''From the Attic''. Damone released their first album, ''From the Attic'', on RCA in 2003. Original lead guitarist Dave Pino left the band some time in 2004, being replaced by Mike Woods from Boston. Rock 'n' Roll Soldiers was an American punk rock band from Eugene, Oregon. History In 1997, the band was formed in Eugene, Oregon by four friends who met there in middle school. They named their group—of frontman Marty Larson-Xu, guitarist Kevin Sciou, bassist Evan Seroffsky, and drummer Oliver Brown—after a Radio Birdman concert tour of the same name. Big D and the Kids Table is a ska punk band formed in October 1995 in Boston, Massachusetts when its members converged in college. Their first release was on their own Fork in Hand Records label, but have since teamed with Springman Records and SideOneDummy. The band has been noted for its strict DIY work ethic, such as engineering, producing, and releasing their own albums and videos and self-promotion of their own shows. The band released Good Luck in 1999 on Asian Man Records and quickly gained a large underground audience. The album featured a 10 piece band, including six horn players. The album is characterized and widely liked due to its catchy horn melodies, along with its fun and energetic nature. Collage (, from the french: coller, "to glue" or "to stick together";) is a technique of art creation, primarily used in the visual arts, but in music too, by which art results from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. +44 (read as Plus Forty-four) was an American rock supergroup formed in Los Angeles, California in 2005. The group consisted of vocalist and bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker of Blink-182, lead guitarist Shane Gallagher of The Nervous Return, and rhythm guitarist Craig Fairbaugh of Mercy Killers. Hoppus and Barker created +44 shortly after the initial 2005 breakup of Blink-182 and before it was later reformed. The band's name refers to the international dialing code of the United Kingdom, the country where the duo first discussed the project. Mark Allan Hoppus (born March 15, 1972) is an American musician, songwriter and record producer best known as the bassist and co-lead vocalist for the rock band Blink-182, being the only constant member and the only one to appear on every album. He is also part of pop rock duo Simple Creatures with All Time Low frontman Alex Gaskarth. Hoppus became interested in skateboarding and punk rock in junior high, and received a bass guitar from his father at the age of 15.
