Jazz
Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with its roots in blues and ragtime. Motown Records is an American record label owned by the Universal Music Group. Robert Brookins
Robert Brookins (October 7, 1962 – April 15, 2009) was an American singer, songwriter, producer and musician. Brookins was a member of the band Earth, Wind & Fire. He also worked with artists such as George Duke, Stephanie Mills, Stanley Clarke and The Whispers. Early years Brookins was born and raised in Del Paso Heights, Sacramento, California. He began singing at the age of four, drumming at five and playing keyboards at nine years old. At the age of 11 he started up his own band entitled Little Robert & the Fondeles. The band went on to win Motown's 1974 Soul Search Contest. Brookins was also an alumnus of Grant Union High School. George Duke
George M. Duke (January 12, 1946 – August 5, 2013) was an American keyboardist, composer, singer-songwriter and record producer. He worked with numerous artists as arranger, music director, writer and co-writer, record producer and as a professor of music. "Summer Breeze" is a song written and originally recorded by American soft rock duo Seals and Crofts. Released in 1972, it reached No. 6 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart in the US.
