In A Warzone
''In a Warzone'' is the third album by the American punk rock/ hip hop band Transplants. It was premiered as a stream on ''Rolling Stones website on June 17, 2013 and released via Epitaph Records on June 25, 2013. Recording sessions took place at Opra Music Studios and The Boat in Los Angeles. Audio production of the record was entirely handled by the Transplants with Christopher Holmes. Rancid's Matt Freeman, Left Alone's Elvis Cortez, UGK's Bun B, Bored Stiff's Equipto, and Expensive Taste's Paul Wall made their appearances on the album as additional musicians and vocalists. The band supported the album by touring with Rancid. The album peaked at #58 on the ''Billboard'' 200 in the United States. Its lead single "Come Around" did not appear on any major chart. Transplants (band)
The Transplants are an American punk rock/rap rock supergroup. They formed in 1999 when Tim Armstrong (of the bands Rancid and Operation Ivy) played his friend and roadie Rob Aston some beats he had made using Pro Tools and asked Aston if he would consider contributing lyrics. Initially, Armstrong played all the instruments himself, but as the project grew, he invited musician friends such as Matt Freeman (Rancid), Lars Frederiksen (Rancid), and Vic Ruggiero (The Slackers) to add to the sound. Before long, Armstrong and Aston decided to officially form a band, but to make things complete, they wanted a drummer, so Travis Barker from Blink-182 was asked to join in 2002. After the release of their first album, Transplants briefly disbanded in 2003, due to all members being involved in their own projects, including Rancid and Blink-182. James Edward Ingram (February 16, 1952 – January 29, 2019) was an American singer, songwriter and record producer. Kevin Bivona
Kevin Bivona (born November 8, 1986) is an American musician and audio engineer best known for his work with the Transplants and Tim Armstrong. He is currently the guitarist for the ska punk band the Interrupters. Early career In 2005, Bivona became the touring keyboard player for The Transplants on the Vans Warped Tour. Following the Warped Tour, he began to work around Los Angeles as a recording engineer. This led to continued involvement with Transplants, as well as Paul Wall, Travis Barker, Dirt Nasty, The Cool Kids, and Psycho White. Travis Barker
Travis Landon Barker (born November 14, 1975) is an American musician who serves as the drummer for the rock band Blink-182. He has also performed as a frequent collaborator with hip hop artists, is a member of the rap rock group Transplants, cofounded the rock band +44, and joined Box Car Racer, Antemasque and Goldfinger. Barker was a frequent collaborator with the late DJ AM, and together they formed TRV$DJAM. Skinhead Rob
Robert Aston (born October 29, 1978), better known by his stage name Skinhead Rob, is an American rapper best known as a founding member of the rap rock group the Transplants. He is also the lead vocalist in a D-beat punk band named Death March and a former member of hip-hop group Expensive Taste. Career Aston's career began as a roadie for bands Boot Party, AFI, and Rancid. He eventually started a solo career, releasing the song "Show Me". He became involved in the Transplants when Tim Armstrong asked for lyrics to the songs Aston had been writing. The two started jamming in Armstrong's basement. Tim Armstrong
Timothy Ross Armstrong (born November 25, 1965) is an American musician, singer, songwriter and producer. Known for his distinctive voice, he is the singer/guitarist for the punk rock band Rancid and hip hop/punk rock supergroup Transplants. Prior to forming Rancid, Armstrong was in the ska punk band Operation Ivy. In 1997, along with Brett Gurewitz of the band Bad Religion and owner of Epitaph Records, Armstrong founded Hellcat Records. In 2012, through his website, Armstrong started releasing music that influenced him, along with stripped-down cover songs of his own under the name Tim Timebomb. Expensive Taste (styled as Expen$ive Taste) was an American hip hop music, hip hop Supergroup (music), super-group formed by Paul Wall, Skinhead Rob (Transplants (band), Transplants), and Travis Barker (The Aquabats, Blink-182, Box Car Racer, +44 (band), +44 and Transplants (band), Transplants). Expensive Taste released a 15-track mixtape for free from a newly registered website. Travis Barker said on his Twitter blog that 2 new songs will be available soon on iTunes. Bernard James Freeman (born March 19, 1973), known professionally as Bun B, is an American rapper. He is best known as one half of the southern rap duo UGK (UnderGround Kingz), a group he formed in 1987 alongside Pimp C. Aside from his work with UGK, Bun B has released five solo albums, including 2010's ''Trill OG'', which received the rare 5-mic rating from ''The Source''. He is also a guest lecturer at Rice University, located in Houston, Texas.
