InMe are an English rock band originally formed in Brentwood, Essex in 1996. InMe have released seven studio albums, two EPs, one "bootleg" album, one best-of compilation, one live album, one live EP and an acoustic album. A DVD of the band's '' Overgrown Eden'' show at the Highbury Garage on 18 November 2010 was released via PledgeMusic as a part of the band's campaign for their fifth album ''The Pride''. The band has had eight singles appear on the UK Top 100 Singles Chart. The band are open about the fact that they all have day jobs, and ask fans to support them financially. History Formation The group originally formed as Drowned in 1996 when many of the band were just 14 years old. Overgrown Eden
''Overgrown Eden'' is the debut album from Essex rock band InMe. The album was released in the UK on 27 January 2003. The album produced four singles before and after the album's release. The singles released were "Underdose", "Firefly", "Crushed like Fruit" and "Neptune". The album was re-released in its original format on 5 June 2006. This was due to getting the rights for ''Overgrown Eden'' from the now defunct record label Music for Nations (which transferred to Zomba). Due to the demise of MFN, this was the first and last album released by InMe on this record label. The highest UK Album Chart position was No. 15. However, it reached No. 1 in the Rock Album Chart. The Pride (InMe Album)
''The Pride'' is the fifth studio album from the band InMe. It is the first full-length album of new material to feature lead guitarist Gazz Marlow. It was released via PledgeMusic on 19 February 2012. The album was awarded KKKK by Kerrang! and 8/10 by Rock Sound magazine, and described on Twitter as "magnificent" by XFMs Rich Walters. Development of the album The development of the album started as early as 2009. Dave McPherson wrote a whole album's worth of material more in the vein of Herald Moth's technical metal style but scrapped all but two songs, which feature on the band's best of compilation. The second wave of writing started in 2010 and continues through until mid-2011, with the track list gradually being built up. Songs such as "A Great Man" were finished earlier, whereas other tunes such as "Moonlit Seabed" were completed just prior to the final recording session in October 2011. Brentwood, Essex
Brentwood is a town in the Borough of Brentwood, in the county of Essex in the East of England. It is in the London commuter belt, situated 20 miles (30 km) east-north-east of Charing Cross and close by the M25 motorway. In 2017, the population of the town was estimated to be 54,885. Music For Nations (MFN) is a British independent record label focusing mainly on rock and metal. It was a subsidiary of the larger label distributor Zomba Records, which was a division of BMG and later Sony Music Entertainment. Launched in 1983 by Martin Hooker, Music For Nations established itself as a European leader in the rock and metal world, with early signings like Tank, Exciter, Metallica (who had three gold albums while on MFN), Slayer and Megadeth paving the way. As MFN grew, the company expanded its operation to include not just licensed acts from the United States, but its own signings. It released albums by artists including Paradise Lost, Opeth, Anathema, Cradle of Filth, Testament and countless other metal bands.
