Imri Ganiel ( he, אמרי גניאל; born 8 January 1992) is an Israeli swimmer. Biography Imri Ganiel was born in Beersheba and grew up in Omer. Ganiel started swimming at the age of 8 and has competed in swimming since the age of 12. He is the son of Amir Ganiel, a former Israeli swimming champion. Sports career Ganiel is the Israeli national record holder in the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:00.26 minutes, which he broke in the final of the European Championships. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the Men's 100 metre breaststroke, finishing in 32nd place in the heats, failing to reach the semifinals. Imri Kalmann ( he, אימרי קלמן; born June 17, 1986) is a social activist and former co-chairperson of the Israeli LGBT Association. He is an entrepreneur and a Tel Aviv nightlife personality who has opened several successful clubs in the city. TheMarker magazine chose Kalmann as one of 40 most promising young people of 2015, for his political and nightlife activities, and in 2016, he was chosen by the website Mako as one of the most influential people in the gay community in Israel. Early life Kalmann was born in Haifa and is the youngest son of Dov Kalmann and Sylvia Cohen, immigrants from the Netherlands. At an early age, he moved with his family to Kfar Saba. Imri Ziv ( he, אימרי זיו; born 12 September 1991), also known as IMRI, is an Israeli singer and voice actor. After winning ''HaKokhav HaBa'', he represented Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv with the song "I Feel Alive" placing in the 23rd place in the finals. Life and career Life and education Born in Hod HaSharon, in Israel, to a family of Ashkenazi Jewish (Romanian-Jewish, Polish-Jewish, Austrian-Jewish, and Russian-Jewish) descent. Yoseph Imry
Yoseph Imry (Hebrew: יוסף אמרי; born 23 February 1939 – 29 May 2018) was an Israeli physicist. He was best known for taking part in the foundation of mesoscopic physics, a relatively new branch of condensed matter physics. It is concerned with how the behavior of systems whose size is in between micro- and macroscopic, crosses over between these two regimes. These systems can be handled and addressed by more or less usual macroscopic methods, but their behavior may still show quantum effects. Awards and honours In 1996, 2001 and 2016, Imry received the Rothschild Prize, Israel Prize and Wolf Prize in physics, respectively. Imry was the 1996 Lorentz Professor at Leiden University.
