''Immortalized'' is the sixth studio album by American heavy metal band Disturbed. The album was released on August 21, 2015 by Reprise Records, and is Disturbed's first studio album since ''Asylum'' (2010), marking the longest gap between two studio albums in their career. With 98,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, ''Immortalized'' is Disturbed's fifth consecutive number one debut on the United States ''Billboard'' 200 chart. They are the third band in history to achieve this feat, after Metallica and Dave Matthews Band. The band also found crossover success in the album's third single, a cover of the 1964 song " The Sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel, which marked Disturbed's highest ranked single on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 at number 42 and has since become Disturbed's biggest song since "Down with the Sickness". Disturbed is an American heavy metal band from Chicago, formed in 1994. The band includes vocalist David Draiman, guitarist/keyboardist Dan Donegan, bassist John Moyer, and drummer Mike Wengren. Donegan and Wengren have been involved in the band since its inception, with Moyer replacing former bassist Steve "Fuzz" Kmak and Draiman replacing original lead vocalist Erich Awalt. The band has released eight studio albums, five of which have consecutively debuted at number one on the ''Billboard'' 200. Mike Wengren
Michael Wengren (born September 3, 1971) is an American drummer, best known for his work with Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Disturbed (band), Disturbed. He is one of the founding members of the band, which was formed in 1994. Wengren is known for his bass drum techniques that have become a staple of Disturbed's music. David Draiman
David Michael Draiman ( he, דוד מיכאל דריימן; born March 13, 1973) is an American singer and songwriter. Noted for his distorted, operatic, baritone voice and percussive singing style, he is best known as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Disturbed since 1996. He has written some of the band's most successful singles, such as " Stupify", "Down with the Sickness", " Indestructible", and " Inside the Fire". In 2006, he was ranked at No. 42 on the ''Hit Parader'' list of "Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time". Asylum Tour was a concert tour by American heavy metal band Disturbed in support of the group's fifth studio album, ''Asylum'', which was released in August 2010. The tour began in mid-August 2010 with an appearance as part of a series of concerts held during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota, United States. This was followed by the commencement of the Uproar Festival, a North American touring event which features Disturbed as headliners and includes acts such as Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour and Hellyeah. The festival began in Minneapolis and culminated in Madison, Wisconsin in early October. Dan Donegan
Daniel Joseph Donegan (born August 1, 1968) is an American musician who serves as the guitarist and keyboardist for heavy metal band Disturbed. Donegan began playing guitar as a teenager and eventually formed a band called Vandal, which was a 1980s-style glam metal band. He also played with some of the members of Vandal in another band that was called Loudmouth, and has pursued a side project band, Fight or Flight, in collaboration with Disturbed band member Mike Wengren. John Moyer
John Moyer (born November 30, 1973) is an American musician, best known as the bassist and backing vocalist for the heavy metal band Disturbed. Taking over in 2004 after Steve "Fuzz" Kmak was fired, Moyer has played bass guitar with the group since their third studio album, ''Ten Thousand Fists'', which he played on as a session member, becoming a full-time member around 2005 during the supporting tour for the album. Moyer was also the bassist for the American supergroup Adrenaline Mob, joining in February 2012, and remained with the band until August 2014. He currently plays in Stereo Satellite, Art of Anarchy, and in 2015 he became a full-time member of the band Operation: Mindcrime. "Down with the Sickness" is a song by American heavy metal band Disturbed. It was recorded in 1999 and released as the second single from the band's debut studio album, ''The Sickness''. "Down with the Sickness" is one of Disturbed's best-known songs and is a concert staple, usually played as the last song. This was Disturbed's first single to be certified platinum in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America. Music and composition "Down With the Sickness" is a nu metal song that features an unusual "ooh-wah-ah-ah-ah" staccato noise from Disturbed's singer David Draiman at the end of the intro, which reappears before the last chorus.
