Immortal (2022 Film)
''Immortal'' ( fi, Sisu) is a 2022 Finnish action film written and directed by Jalmari Helander. The film takes place in Finnish Lapland during World War II, where a gold digger, played by Jorma Tommila, goes to take the gold he finds to town and has to escape from the Nazi patrol led by brutal SS officer. Other roles in the film include British actors Jack Doolan and Paul Anderson and Norwegian actor Aksel Hennie. The film was shot in 2021 in Lapland. Sony Pictures bought the film's international distribution rights, and Lionsgate will be as the film's distributor in North America. The film was world premiered at the Toronto Film Festival's Midnight Madness series in September 2022. Jalmari Helander (born 21 July 1976) is a Finnish screenwriter and film director.
