The CIF San Francisco Section (CIF-SF), frequently shortened to SFS or just SF, is the governing body of high school sports for school for what was originally the San Francisco Unified School District. It is one of ten sections that comprise the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). Mission San José is a Spanish missions in California, Spanish mission located in the present-day city of Fremont, California. It was founded on June 11, 1797, by the Franciscan order and was the fourteenth Spanish mission established in California. The mission is the namesake of the Fremont, California#Mission San Jose District, Mission San José district of Fremont, which was an independent town annexation, subsumed into the city when it was incorporated in 1957.
