Imilo Lechanceux
Émile Ilboudo (born 20 September 1988), better known by his stage name Imilo Lechanceux, is an Ivorian- Burkinabé singer, dancer and DJ. He sings in French, Mòoré and Dyula. Lechanceux's music generally falls under the coupé-décalé and afrobeat genres, and he also occasionally raps on his songs. He has toured in West Africa, Europe, Canada and the United States. Lechanceux is sometimes known by his nickname on songs, ''Le Fils du Pays'' ("The Son of the Country"). Life and career Émile Ilboudo was born on 20 September 1988 in Tiassalé, Ivory Coast, the seventh of eight children of retired driver Johany Ilboudo and housewife Bernadette Zoungrana, both from Burkina Faso. During his childhood, he did dance and theatre as a hobby. In 2004, at age 16, he moved to Tanghin-Dassouri, a village near Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, where he continued his dancing alongside school. Dyula Language
Dyula (or Jula, Dioula, ''Julakan'' ߖߎ߬ߟߊ߬ߞߊ߲) is a language of the Mande language family spoken mainly in Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and Mali, and also in some other countries, including Ghana, Guinea and Guinea-Bissau. It is one of the Manding languages and is most closely related to Bambara, being mutually intelligible with Bambara as well as Malinke. It is a trade language in West Africa and is spoken by millions of people, either as a first or second language. Similar to the other Mande languages, it uses tones. It may be written in the Latin, Arabic or N'Ko scripts. History Dyula is not an ethonym. Sidiki Diabaté is a Malian kora player, musician and music producer born in 1992 in Bamako, Mali. He is the son of renowned kora player Toumani Diabaté and grandson of Sidiki Diabaté. Diabaté belongs to the 77th generation of musicians in a long family tradition of griots, his family being primarily kora players. His grandfather Sidiki Diabaté recorded the first ever kora album in 1970. His father's cousin Sona Jobarteh is the first female kora player to come from a Griot family. His uncle Mamadou Sidiki Diabaté is also a prominent kora player. Sidiki Diabaté was arrested on September 24, 2020, on the count of assault on an ex-girlfriend. Chidinma Ekile (born 2 May 1991), known professionally as Chidinma, is a Nigerian hip-hop turned gospel singer and songwriter. Overview The ATB was founded on June 18, 1978, by Prosper Komparoré.
