Imanpa, Northern Territory
Imanpa is a community in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is seven kilometres north of the Lasseter Highway, the main road running between the Stuart Highway and Uluru (Ayers Rock). Imanpa lies 160 kilometres east of Uluru and 200 kilometres south west of Alice Springs. It is seventeen kilometres from Mount Ebenezer Roadhouse which is owned and run by the community, along with Angas Downs Station / Indigenous Protected Area. MacDonnell Region
The MacDonnell Regional Council is a local government area of the Northern Territory, Australia. The region covers an area of and had an estimated population of 6,863 people in June 2018. Electoral Division Of Namatjira
Namatjira is an electoral division of the Legislative Assembly in Australia's Northern Territory. It was created in 2012 when the former division of MacDonnell was renamed after the Aboriginal artist Albert Namatjira. Namatjira is an almost entirely rural electorate, covering 198,384 km², and taking in the resort town of Yulara, the remote communities of Hermannsburg, Kintore and Papunya, and part of southern Alice Springs. There were 5,728 electors enrolled in Namatjira as of August 2020. Division Of Lingiari
The Division of Lingiari is an Australian electoral division in the Northern Territory that covers the entirety of the territory outside of the Division of Solomon, which covers Darwin and surrounding areas. The division also includes the Christmas and Cocos (Keeling) Islands. Lingiari includes all of the Northern Territory's remote Indigenous communities, most of whom vote when visited by mobile polling teams during the election campaign. The current MP is Marion Scrymgour, a member of the Australian Labor Party. Scrymgour herself is Indigenous and inherited Tiwi identity from her mother. Lasseter Highway is a fully sealed 244 kilometre highway in the Northern Territory of Australia. It connects Yulara, Kata Tjuta and Uluru east to the Stuart Highway at Erldunda. The highway is named after Lewis Hubert (Harold Bell) Lasseter, who claimed to have discovered a fabulously rich gold reef (Lasseter's Reef) west of Kata Tjuta. Mount Ebenezer
Mount Ebenezer Station is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is situated about north east of Yulara and south west of Alice Springs. The lease shares a boundary with other pastoral leases including Angas Downs to the west, Lyndavale to the south, Erldunda to the south east and Palmer Valley to the north west. The Lasseter Highway bisects the property from east to west. The property takes its name from the peak Mount Ebenezer that is found in the Baselow Range within the station boundaries. Mount Ebenezer is named after Ebenezer Flint who was delivering supplies to telegraph stations in the area in 1871. The pastoralist, Richard Warburton, took up Erldunda Station to the east of Mount Ebenezer in 1822. Warburton is thought to have passed through the area while mustering stray cattle. Angas Downs Indigenous Protected Area
Angas Downs Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) is an Aboriginal Australian-owned pastoral lease, within the MacDonnell Shire area, south-west of Alice Springs, Northern Territory, east from Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park (Ayers Rock), south-east of Kings Canyon/Watarrka National Park and from Mount Ebenezer Roadhouse on the Lasseter Highway. The property is a pastoral lease held by the Imanpa Development Association. It was declared and formally recognised as an Indigenous Protected Area as part of the Australian Government's Caring for Country scheme on 10 June 2009. The property forms part of Australia's National Reserve System. Previous land management practices and other anthropogenic pressures had damaged Angas Downs, and many native species have disappeared.
