Imaginary Sonicscape
''Imaginary Sonicscape'' is the fifth studio album by Japanese black metal band Sigh, released on July 4, 2001. Produced by Sigh, it was the band's first record released on Century Media Records. The musical styles of ''Imaginary Sonicscape'' further explored the experimental tendencies of the band's previous album '' Scenario IV: Dread Dreams'' with further psychedelic elements to the band's sound. Production After leaving their previous record label Cacophonous Records for Century Media due to lack of promotion, Sigh entered the studio to record ''Imaginary Sonicscape'' in September 2000 at Studio Zen/Electric Space Studio. The album took many months to perfect under the direction of Yukito Okazaki from the stoner metal band Eternal Elysium. While the band's new sound was influenced by jazz, classical music and Frank Zappa, the lyrics of the album were based on the band's views on life and death. Sigh (band)
is a Japanese experimental metal band from Tokyo, formed in 1989. They gradually shifted from a traditional extreme metal sound to a more experimental, avant-garde style employing symphonic, world music, and progressive elements. Their most recent album, ''Shiki'', was released in 2022. History Sigh was founded as a Nordic-influenced black metal band in 1989, with bassist/vocalist/keyboardist Mirai Kawashima, guitarist Satoshi Fujinami, and drummer Kazuki. The band has since experienced many lineup changes, but Kawashima and Fujinami remain in the band to the present day and each has played many different instruments. The band's first demos were recorded in 1990. Their first EP ''Requiem for the Fools'' attracted the attention of Norwegian black metal musician and producer Euronymous, who signed Sigh to his label Deathlike Silence Records. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. William York
William Herbert "Lum" York (November 16, 1918 – August 15, 2004) was a musician best known as the bass player in Hank Williams Drifting Cowboys from 1944–1949. After leaving the Drifting Cowboys, York played bass in Lefty Frizzell's band until 1953. York continued to perform until weeks before his death and was a fan favorite at the Hank Williams festival in Georgiana, Alabama. In rural Alabama, the depression days of the 1930s and early 1940s were rough. Lum York remembers "I only had two pairs of overalls. My mother washed on Wednesdays so I had to wear them all week long." Disco is a genre of dance music and a subculture that emerged in the 1970s from the United States' urban nightlife scene.
