Die Ärzte (; ) is a German rock band from Berlin. The band has released 14 studio albums. The group consists of guitarist Farin Urlaub, drummer Bela B and bass player Rodrigo González. All three write and perform their songs. History Early years Die Ärzte were formed in West Berlin in 1982 by Jan Vetter (alias Farin Urlaub, a pun on the expression "Fahr' in Urlaub", meaning "Go on vacation"), Dirk Felsenheimer (alias Bela B, referring to Dracula actor Bela Lugosi) and bassist Hans Runge, alias . Hans-Georg "Micki" Meuser (also spelled Mickey; born in Alsdorf, Germany) is a German bass player, studio musician and music producer for bands such as Die Ärzte, Ideal, Ina Deter, Lemonbabies, among others. ''Debil'' (meaning "Moronic") is the first full-length studio album by German rock band Die Ärzte, released in 1984, following the EPs '' Zu schön, um wahr zu sein!'' and '' Uns geht's prima...''. The songs "Paul" and "Zu spät" were released as singles, without being successful initially. However, a live version of "Zu spät" was released as a single from the live album '' Nach uns die Sintflut'' in 1989 and became a moderate hit in Germany. In 1987, the Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons put the songs "Claudia hat 'nen Schäferhund" and "Schlaflied" on the List of Media Harmful to Young People, with the effect that they could not be sold to minors, nor publicly advertised or displayed. is the third album by German rock band . The song Geschwisterliebe", and with it the whole album, was put on the German List of Media Harmful to Young People on 27 January 1987. In late 2020, a Reissue of the Album was released, which replaced "Geschwisterliebe" with the song "Frühjahrsputz", which uses the same instrumental but with different lyrics. This was the first album recorded since Sahnie left the band. The bass guitar was played by their producer, Manne Praeker. Du Willst Mich Küssen
"Du willst mich küssen" ou want to kiss meis a punk song by Die Ärzte. It was the first track and the second single from their 1985 album ''Im Schatten der Ärzte''. The maxi version was later put on "Das Beste von kurz nach früher bis jetze". The song's about a totally non-provocative man, who meets a "very provocative" girl, who wants to kiss him. The original version has Nena singing the line "am besten heute Nacht", but in the version on ''Ist das alles? (13 Höhepunkte mit den Ärzten)'', the line is sung by Farin. Also an English-language demo of the song, titled "You Want to Kiss Me", has been recorded and released in 2019 on the demo compilation ''They've Given Me Schrott! - Die Outtakes''. Charles Hardin Holley (September 7, 1936 – February 3, 1959), known as Buddy Holly, was an American singer and songwriter who was a central and pioneering figure of mid-1950s rock and roll.
