''Illiterate'' ( es, Las analfabetas) is a 2013 Chilean drama film directed by Moisés Sepúlveda.The script was written by Sepúlveda and Pablo Paredes, based on Paredes' own play. It was selected to be screened out of competition closing the Critics Week section at the 2013 Venice Film Festival, and at the 2013 SANFIC it won Best Chilean Picture and the Public Prize. Plot Ximena is a middle-aged woman who lives alone in her apartment, completely oblivious to the world around her due to her illiteracy, a condition that deeply embarrasses her. With little conviction, Ximena accepts the help of Jackeline, a young woman with a teaching degree, who agrees to teach her how to read. Ximena's motivation for learning is to finally be able to read a letter left to her by her father as his only memento. Paulina García
Paulina García Alfonso (born 27 November 1960), better known as Pali García, is a Chilean actress, stage director, and playwright. García debuted on television with a small role in the telenovela '' Los títeres'' (1984), but she was soon known for her theatre direction and for her various performances in films such as ''Tres noches de un sábado'' (2002), ''Cachimba'' (2004), ''Casa de remolienda'' (2007) and '' Gloria'' (2013). García has received four nominations for the Altazor Awards, winning on one occasion, and three for the APES Awards — the Chilean Arts and Entertainment Critics Awards—winning twice. Pablo Paredes (playwright)
Pablo Paredes Arratia (born 11 February 1983) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Amurrio Club mainly as a central midfielder. Club career Born in Laudio, Álava, Basque Country, Paredes joined Athletic Bilbao's youth setup in 1999, aged 16. He made his debut with the farm team in the 2001–02 campaign, in Tercera División. In June 2003 Paredes was promoted to the reserves, in Segunda División B. He played his first match as a professional on 2 July 2005, starting in a 0–1 away loss against CFR Cluj, in that year's UEFA Intertoto Cup. Paredes was released by the ''Lions'' in May 2006, and moved to Barakaldo CF in the third level.
