Illegal Musik is a New Zealand Lifestyle Company with a primary focus on Music & Entertainment. Its success started via its development of R&B singer J.Williams and has grown to include a wide range of artists from various genres. It currently has a partnership with Warner Music NZ and Australia. Its record label HQ is based in New Zealand Company history Illegal Musik was founded by CEO Mark Arona (aka Patriarch of NZ hip hop group Ill Semantics) and business partner Eddie Bennett (aka Hard Work) mid-2007. Their first two signings J.Williams and Erakah picked up both Best Male and Female artist awards at the 2010 Pacific Island Music Awards. The label's production house is headed up by Inoke Finau "N.O.X" (lead guitarist of Rock Band Junipah). "Stand with You" is the fourth single from J. Williams' first studio album, '' Young Love''. The song features Williams' sister, Lavina Williams. Music video The music video was financially supported by New Zealand On Air. The music video starts with a teenaged boy window shopping, then walking through a train station, where he is met by a group of other boys who tease and bully him about a flier for a talent quest in his bag, before walking to a skating half-pipe, where he watches J. Williams dance. When invited to join in, he walks away. The boy walks home and teaches himself to hip-hop dance, intending to enter the talent quest. On the morning of the talent quest, the boy finds a pair of new shoes left by Williams. The video closes with the boy executing his dance routine, with the audience, including Williams, cheering for him. Sidney Diamond (born 7 July 1986), previously known by the stage name Young Sid, is a New Zealand rapper. Biography Sid Diamond was born in South Auckland, New Zealand and later moved to Manukau City, Auckland. He is of Cook Island and Māori descent, and was raised in the Manukau suburb of Ōtara. He used his aunt's address to attend Papatoetoe High School. Dane Aaron Rumble (born 9 February 1982) is a New Zealand recording artist. He is a former member of New Zealand hip hop group, Fast Crew. Background Rumble was born in Kirwee, Canterbury, and received his secondary education at St Peter's College, Auckland. Malo Ioane Luafutu, also called Jeshua Ioane Luafutu (born on 29 May 1979), and better known by his stage name Scribe, is a New Zealand rapper of Samoans, Samoan descent.
