Ilkka Jääskeläinen
Ilkka Aaron Jääskeläinen (born 10 November 1979) is a singer who rose to popularity after winning '' Idols Finland 2'', the Finnish version of ''Pop Idol'' with a 55% majority of the vote over runner-up Katri Ylander. Jääskeläinen's debut album "Vuosisadan rakkaustarina" (transl. Love Story of the Century) was released in 2006. There has been two top singles in this disc, "Unohda en" (I Won't Forget) and "Soita" (Call). Jääskeläinen was born in Hämeenlinna. He belongs to Tampere Pentecostal Church and has also made some Christian children's TV programs. He is known as a humoristic joker. Jääskeläinen originally auditioned with his brother Heikki Jääskeläinen but Heikki only made the second day of the theatre round. Idols (Finland)
''Idols'' is a Finnish reality-television singing competition that airs on Nelonen (and formerly also on MTV3 and Sub). It debuted in the summer of 2003, and went on to become one of the most popular shows on Finnish television. Part of the ''Idol'' franchise, it originated from the reality program ''Pop Idol'' created by British entertainment executive Simon Fuller, which was first aired in 2001 in the United Kingdom. The program seeks to discover the best unsigned singer in Finland through a series of nationwide auditions, and the outcomes of the later stages of the competition are determined by public phone voting. The four original judges were music executives Jone Nikula and Asko Kallonen, and songwriter-producers Hannu Korkeamäki and Nanna Mikkonen. Anssi Kela
Anssi Kela (born 29 July 1972 in Kerava, Finland) is a Finnish singer-songwriter multi-instrumentalist who has published six albums. During his career, Kela has sold over 230,000 records in Finland. He received four Emma awards in 2002. Anssi Kela comes from a musical family. His late father was a keyboardist and songwriter in a gospel band called Pro Fide, his mother is a cantor and brother a drummer. Kela began his musical career playing various stringed instruments, including the violin, cello and contrabass. However he was more interested in rock music, and wanted to play bass instead. At the age of 13 in 1985 Kela formed a gospel band Yhdeksäs hetki with his school mates. In the band he played bass and wrote the songs. After the band gave up gospel music and changed their name to Pekka ja susi. Kela started to sing in the band as well as playing bass. Teräsbetoni is a Finnish Heavy metal music, heavy/power metal band. Their first album, ''Metallitotuus'', was released in 2005 and has so far sold more than 32,000 copies. Teräsbetoni has been strongly influenced by bands such as Manowar. The direct translation of the band's name is "steel concrete", Finnish for "reinforced concrete".
