Ilkeston Rutland Cricket Club is an amateur cricket club based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, England. The club has a history dating back to 1824. Ground Ilkeston Rutland's main ground is the Rutland Sports Park, on Oakwell Drive in Ilkeston which includes a two lane, all-weather net facility. Their second ground is at The Stute on Hallam Field Road. The 1st and 2nd XI teams use the Rutland Sports Park pitch, rated by the DCCL as a Grade A+ ground, and the 3rd and 4th XI use the pitch on The Stute, rated as a Grade B ground. Their main ground ( Rutland Sports Park) has a proud history of annually hosting 1st Class recreation matches between 1925 – 1994. In 1977, the ground hosted Derbyshire's Gillette Cup quarter-final tie against a Somerset side which included Ian Botham, Viv Richards and Joel Garner, when on an extremely hot day, 11,000 spectators packed into the ground. Erewash Young Cricketers League
The Erewash Young Cricketers League (EYCL) is a part of Cricket Erewash, which was formed in 2004 as a result of an amalgamation of the EYCL, The Erewash Cricket Development Group and The Long Eaton & District Cricket Association; with an aim to promote cricket in the Borough of Erewash as a member of the Derbyshire Cricket Board (DCB). Objectives include representing Erewash in the formulation of regional cricketing policies, while prioritising the implementation within Erewash of the various aspects of the Derbyshire Cricket Board Development Plan. Membership is open to formally constituted cricket clubs, schools and organisations based within the Borough of Erewash, with an Associate membership open to properly constituted cricket clubs and organisations based outside the Borough. The Rutland Recreation Ground is a cricket ground in Ilkeston, Derbyshire (not the historical county of Rutland, as the name may suggest). Zee Marathi is an Indian general entertainment channel which carries programming in Marathi language, Marathi. It is owned by Zee Entertainment Enterprises. Ilkeston
Ilkeston is a town in the Borough of Erewash, Derbyshire, England, on the River Erewash, from which the borough takes its name, with a population at the 2011 census of 38,640. Its major industries, coal mining, iron working and lace making/textiles, have now all but disappeared. Ian Terence Botham, Baron Botham, (born 24 November 1955) is an English cricket commentator, member of the House of Lords, a former cricketer who has been chairman of Durham County Cricket Club since 2017 and charity fundraiser. Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards (born 7 March 1952) is an Antiguan retired cricketer who represented the West Indies cricket team between 1974 and 1991. Batting generally at number three in a dominant West Indies side, Richards is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen of all time.
