Ilgar Gurbanov
Ilgar Gurbanov ( az, İlqar Qurbanov; born 25 April 1986) is an Azerbaijani football player who last played for Sumgayit FK in the Azerbaijan Premier League. Career Club Gurbanov started his career with Fenerbahçe PAF in 2000. In 2006, he transferred to FK Khazar Lankaran in his native country. On 7 August 2007, he signed a 3-year contract with Sivasspor. His contract will expire on 30 May 2010. In 2010 Gurbanov will play for the Turkish second division club Mersin İdmanyurdu. On 31 May 2017, Gabala FK announced the signing of Gurbanov on a two-year contract. On 20 August 2019, Gurbanov signed a one-year contract with Sumgayit FK. Ilgar Yasharovich Mammadov (also spelled Mamedov, russian: Ильгар Яшарович Мамедов, az, İlqar Yaşar oğlu Məmmədov; born 15 November 1965 in Baku, Azerbaijan SSR) is a Soviet and Russian of Azerbaijani origin who serves as President of the Russian Fencing Federation, and a former fencer . He is a two-time Olympic and world champion in team foil. Early life Mammadov graduated from the Baku State University. He married World and European champion fencer Yelena Jemayeva. They live in Moscow and have two daughters: Milena and Ayla. Career Fencer He competed in four Olympic Games in 1988–2000, Mammadov won two Olympic gold medals in the team foil competition, at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul and at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Ilgar Mammadov ( az, İlqar Məmmədov; born June 14, 1970) is an opposition politician in Azerbaijan, and one of the leaders of the Republican Alternative Party (Azerbaijan), Republican Alternative Party. Mammadov was considered a likely candidate for the Presidential elections in October 2013, but was arrested in February 2013, prior to the race, in a move that was widely seen as politically motivated. In March 2014, Mammadov was sentenced to 7 years in jail. He was released from prison on August 13, 2018.
