Dunaújváros
Dunaújváros (; also known by other alternative names) is an industrial city in Fejér County, Central Hungary. It is a city with county rights. Situated 70 kilometres (43 miles) south of Budapest on the Danube, the city is best known for its steelworks, which is the largest in the country. It was built in the 1950s on the site of the former village of Dunapentele and was originally given the name of Sztálinváros before acquiring its current name in 1961. It is governed by the Hungarian Handball Federation () and takes part in international handball competitions. The team won the World Championship in 1965 and the European Championship in 2000. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. Dunaújvárosi Kohász KA or DKKA (in English: Dunaújvárosi Kohász Handball Academy), formerly known as ''Dunaferr'', is a Hungarian women's handball club from Dunaújváros, that plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I. History Dunaferr The team enjoyed their best spell between the mid-1990s and the mid-2000s, during which period they won five Hungarian championship and five Hungarian Cup titles, and set a unique record of winning all three major continental competitions. ''Kohász'', as the fans call the club, first won the EHF Cup Winners' Cup in 1995 and captured the EHF Cup title three years later. In 1999 they lifted the EHF Champions League trophy as well, after beating Slovenian side Krim Ljubljana in the finals.
