Ilanda Songs
Ilanda were an Australian-based vocal harmony and dance group which formed in 1991 as Past to Present. Initially a four-piece, with Leighton Hema, Frank Laga'aia, Lennie Keller and his brother, Norman Keller. They are all New Zealand-born, though their heritage is Samoan. Past to Present teamed with Peter Andre to feature on his single, " Get Down on It" (February 1996), which peaked at No. 5 on the ARIA Singles Chart and No. 1 on the New Zealand Singles Chart. When Hema left the group in 1998 they went into hiatus for a year and reconvened as a three-piece under the name, Ilanda, which had three top 40 Australian singles. Vocal Harmony
Vocal harmony is a style of vocal music in which a consonant note or notes are simultaneously sung as a main melody in a predominantly homophonic texture. Vocal harmonies are used in many subgenres of European art music, including Classical choral music and opera and in the popular styles from many Western cultures ranging from folk songs and musical theater pieces to rock ballads. In the simplest style of vocal harmony, the main vocal melody is supported by a single backup vocal line, either at a pitch which is above or below the main vocal line, often in thirds or sixths which fit in with the chord progression used in the song. The Katinas
The Katinas are a contemporary Christian music group. They are a family of five brothers. The group's members sang in Assembly of God church as children, and began playing fairs, soon moving up to nationwide slots opening for R. "Breakin'... There's No Stopping Us" is a song by American music duo Ollie & Jerry. The song was released on June 21, 1984, as the first single from the soundtrack to the 1984 film ''Breakin''', the song reached number nine on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and number five on the UK Singles Chart. It topped the US dance charts for one week. It is the theme song to the film ''Breakin'''. The drums were created using the Roland TR-808 and Linn LM-1 drum machines. ''Natural'' is the second studio album released by British-Australian singer-songwriter Peter Andre. Background Following the success of his first album in Australia, Andre was commissioned to record a second album with Melodian. However, Melodian believed that it would be wise to see if he could break the British market as well. Andre signed a joint deal with Melodian and the British record label, Mushroom UK, for his second studio album to be released in both markets. On 29 May 1995, "Turn It Up" was released. However, the record deal with Mushroom soon came under jeopardy when the label went into administration. Melodian pressed ahead with releases in Australia, releasing "Mysterious Girl" on 14 August 1995. ''Breakin''' (also known as ''Breakdance'' in the United Kingdom and ''Break Street '84'' in other regions) is a 1984 American breakdancing-themed musical film directed by Joel Silberg and written by Charles Parker and Allen DeBevoise based on a story by Parker, DeBevoise and Gerald Scaife.
