''Il pranzo della domenica'' (''Sunday Lunch'') is a 2003 Italian comedy film directed by Carlo Vanzina. For her performance Giovanna Ralli was nominated for Nastro d'Argento for Best Supporting Actress, while Rocco Papaleo and Maurizio Mattioli were both nominated for Nastro d'Argento for Best Supporting Actor. Carlo Vanzina
Carlo Vanzina (13 March 1951 – 8 July 2018) was an Italian film director, producer and screenwriter. Vanzina was born in Rome, the son of Maria Teresa Nati and film director Stefano Vanzina and brother of Enrico Vanzina. In English-speaking countries, he is likely best known for his 1985 giallo '' Nothing Underneath'', starring Donald Pleasence and Renee Simonsen, which received a substantial home video release and aired on cable frequently. He would effectively remake his own film in 2011 as ''The Last Fashion Show'' with Richard E. Grant. Many of his projects were made for Italian television with English-speaking actors, and in turn these films received English-language home video releases in America.
