''Il branco'' is a 1994 Italian drama film directed by Marco Risi. Marco Risi
Marco Risi (born 4 June 1951) is an Italian film director, screenwriter, film producer and cinematographer. Born in Milan, he is son of director Dino Risi. After graduating from Liceo Scientifico, Risi joined the faculty of philosophy, but abandoned his studies after two years. He began his career as an assistant of his uncle, Nelo Risi, for ''A Season in Hell'' (1971) and thereafter for directors such as Duccio Tessari, Steno, Alberto Sordi. He also collaborated with some scripts for films directed by his father. He made his directorial debut in 1977, with the RAI television documentary ''Appunti su Hollywood''. Franco Piersanti
Franco Piersanti (born 12 January 1950) is an Italian composer and conductor. Born in Rome, Piersanti graduated in double bass at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory, where he studied composition under the guidance of Armando Renzi and conducting under Franco Ferrara and Piero Bellugi. He later played bass in the RAI Symphony Orchestra. During his studies he knew the composer Nino Rota, and he became his assistant between 1975 and 1977. In 1976 he debuted as film composer scoring the Nanni Moretti's first film, ''Io sono un autarchico'' and then started a long collaboration with him that continued with Moretti's '' Habemus Papam'' (2011). Piersanti is also well known for his long collaboration with the director Gianni Amelio, for whom he scored seven movies between 1982 and 2006, including '' The Stolen Children'' (1992) and ''Lamerica'' (1994), for which he won two David di Donatello for Best Score. Giorgio Tirabassi
Giorgio Tirabassi (born 1 February 1960) is an Italian film, television, and stage actor, as well as director. Life and career Born in Rome, Tirabassi made his debut as an actor in avant-garde theater and then worked at the Teatro Stabile di Catania. Since 1982, he has been a member of the stage company of Gigi Proietti. His breakout role was the inspector Ardenzi in the Canale 5 crime TV-series '' Distretto di Polizia''. In 2001, he made his directorial debut with the short ''Non dire gatto'', winning a David di Donatello for Best Short Film. In 2011, he won a Ciak d'oro for best supporting actor for his performance in Ascanio Celestini's '' La pecora nera''. Tirabassi is also a singer and is the lead vocalist in the band Music Inn. On 1 November 2019, Tirabassi suffered a heart attack while presenting his first movie as director. He was hospitalized in stable condition, and recovered in a short time.
