Igor (character)
Igor, or sometimes Ygor, is a stock character, a sometimes hunch-backed laboratory assistant to many types of Gothic villains or as a fiendish character who assists only himself, the latter most prominently portrayed by Bela Lugosi in ''Son of Frankenstein'' (1939) and ''The Ghost of Frankenstein'' (1942). He is familiar from many horror films and horror film parodies. He is traditionally associated with mad scientists, particularly Victor Frankenstein, although Frankenstein has neither a lab assistant nor any association with a character named Igor in the original Mary Shelley novel. The Igor of popular parlance is a composite character, based on characters created for the Universal Studios film franchise. In the first ''Frankenstein'' film (1931), Fritz served the role; in subsequent sequels, a different physically deformed character, Ygor, is featured, though Ygor is not an assistant in those films. Origins Dwight Frye's hunchbacked lab assistant in the first film of the '' ...

Igor (album)
''Igor'' (stylized in all caps) is the fifth studio album by American rapper and producer Tyler, the Creator. It was released on May 17, 2019, through Columbia Records. Produced solely by Tyler, the album features guest appearances from Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, Solange, Kanye West, and Jerrod Carmichael. Following the release of ''Flower Boy'' (2017), the album was primarily recorded in California, with recording sessions also being held in Lake Como, Italy, and Atlanta between 2017 and 2019. Music journalists have noted that ''Igor'' continues to build on the hip hop and neo soul sound established in ''Flower Boy'', while also incorporating R&B and funk influences. Critics have noted the album's use of synthesizers and low-mixed vocals. Thematically, ''Igor'' follows a narrative of a love triangle between the titular character and his male love interest. The album employs the "Igor" literary archetype to explore themes associated with love, such as heartbreak, loss, and ...

Igor Engraver
Igor Engraver is a scorewriter for the Macintosh and Windows operating systems, created by Swedish composer Peter Bengtson and published by the Swedish company NoteHeads. Bengtson stated on the Igor-Talk mailing list that he named Igor after the stock character in various horror movies (including the Frankenstein films), and to commemorate Russian composer Igor Stravinsky. Despite delays in publishing the first version, Igor Engraver was widely praised for its unprecedented ease of use and revolutionary user interface. Users also appreciated its ability to automatically create instrument parts from full scores rather than requiring them to be created separately. (This feature first appeared in the notation program Composer's Mosaic, but Igor's is one of the earliest implementations, well before those of Sibelius and Finale.) Igor is written almost entirely in the Lisp programming language. For a short time, Igor was released as freeware with the hope that online sales of scores ...

Igor Naming Agency is an American naming agency. Based in Sausalito, California, Igor is known for its "almost militant embrace" of using real and natural-sounding words in naming. Among others, the company has named Gogo Inflight, ''Cutthroat Kitchen'', TruTV, the Aria Resort, and consumer products for The North Face and Target. Judged by Ben Cohen of Ben and Jerry's, Jerry Harrison of the Talking Heads, Bob Camp, co-creator of ''Ren & Stimpy'' and others, Shinolas were awarded to products including the Oldsmobile Achieva, and Cruex, a cream to soothe itches. Jurisich and Manning left A Hundred Monkeys in 2002 to co-found Igor Naming Agency. In addition to established comp ...
