Ignacio Bauer
Ignacio Salomón Bauer (1828 – 1895) was a Hungarian-born Spanish banker of Jewish descent. He was an agent of Rothschild banking house in Madrid, taking over from Daniel Weisweiller in 1853. In a marriage arranged by James Mayer de Rothschild, he married Ida Morpurgo, daughter of Rothschild's agent in Triest, and later bought the Palacio Bauer as family residence. Trieste ( , ; sl, Trst ; german: Triest ) is a city and seaport in northeastern Italy. Benito Pérez Galdós (May 10, 1843 – January 4, 1920) was a Spanish Spanish Realist literature, realist novelist. He was the leading literary figure in 19th-century Spain, and some scholars consider him second only to Miguel de Cervantes in stature as a Spanish novelist. Pérez Galdós was a prolific writer, publishing 31 novels, 46 ''Episodios Nacionales'' (''National Episodes''), 23 plays, and the equivalent of 20 volumes of shorter fiction, journalism and other writings. James Mayer de Rothschild, Baron de Rothschild (born Jakob Mayer Rothschild; 15 May 1792 – 15 November 1868) was a German- French banker and the founder of the French branch of the Rothschild family.
