Ighraa
Ighraa (Arabic language, Arabic: إغراء), also is known as Igraa, (January 19, 1945) is a Syrian people, Syrian actress and belly dancer who reached her fame mostly in Cinema of Syria, Syrian cinema of the 1970s. Born Nihad Alaeddin (Arabic language, Arabic: نهاد علاء الدين), she left her native Syria with her elder sister for Egypt in 1958. Trained under famous Egyptian belly dancer Tahiya Karioka, she was given the stage name ''Ighraa'' ("Temptation"). After appearing in various films and TV dramas in Egypt and later in Syria, she made her acting breakthrough with ''The Leopard'' (الفهد) by Nabil Maleh released in 1972. ''Al-Mughamara'' ( ar, المغامرة) (''The Adventure'') is a Syrian film which was released in 1974 in film, 1974. It was directed by the Syrian film Director Muhammad Shahin. The movie is 100 minutes long. Plot This film depends on history trying to give some contemporary interpretations by telling about the struggle over power between the Vizier and the Caliphate. The Vizier is trying to seek help from foreign armies to help him usurp power. One guard takes the chance and delivers his head to the Vizier so as to write a message of help to the enemies. The guard starts his adventure dreaming of wealth and beautiful slave girls. But he discovers too late that the Vizier had asked the enemy to cut the head of the message carrier. So the adventure ends with death. Nabil Maleh
Nabil Maleh (September 28, 1936 – February 24, 2016) was a Syrian film director, screenwriter, producer, painter and poet; he is thought to be a father of Syrian cinema. Nabil has published more than 1,000 articles short stories, essays and poems. He is the writer and director of 120 short, experimental and documentary works and 12 feature-length films including ''The Extras'' and ''The Leopard''. He has more than 60 awards at international film festivals, including several lifetime achievement awards. Several of his films are in the curriculum of international film schools and he has taught film direction, acting, writing and aesthetics at many universities, centers and associations, including the University of Texas at Austin and the University of California in Los Angeles.
