Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry
Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry ( ur, ; born 12 December 1948) is a Pakistani jurist who served as the 20th Chief Justice of Pakistan over three non-consecutive terms from 29 June 2005 to 11 December 2013. Chaudhry began practice as an advocate of the Sindh High Court in 1976, before shifting to his native Quetta and later serving as Advocate General of Balochistan, Pakistan. He was elected as president of the Balochistan High Court Bar Association, Quetta in 1986 and was elected twice as member of the Bar Council. He was appointed Advocate General of Balochistan in 1989. He also discharged duties as Banking Judge Special Court for Speedy Trials, Judge Customs Appellate Court as well as Company Judge. He was appointed as Chairman of the Balochistan Local Council Election Authority in 1992 and thereafter for a second term in 1998. Iftikhar Hussain Arif ( ur, ; born 21 March 1944), is an Urdu poet, scholar and littérateur from Pakistan. His style is romantic Urdu poetry. He has headed the Pakistan Academy of Letters and the National Language Authority. He has received the Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Sitara-e-Imtiaz and Presidential Pride of Performance awards, which are the highest literary awards given by the Government of Pakistan. Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi
Nawab Mohammad Iftikhar Ali Khan Siddiqui Pataudi, sometimes I. A. K. Pataudi (16 March 1910 – 5 January 1952), was an Indian prince and cricket player. He was the captain of the India's national cricket team during its tour of England in 1946. His son Mansoor, known as the Nawab of Pataudi Jr., also later served as captain of the India cricket team. He also played Test cricket for the England team in 1932 and 1934, making him one of the few cricketers to have played Test cricket for two countries and the only Test cricketer to have played for both India and England. He played in six Tests in all, three as captain of India and three for England. Pataudi was the ruling Nawab of the princely state of Pataudi during the British Raj from 1917 until 1947. Iftikhar Ahmed (Urdu & ps, افتخار احمد; born 3 September 1990) is a Pakistani international cricketer. He is in playing-eleven in T20 format of Pakistan National Cricket Team. Major General Muhammed Iftikhar Khan (10 January 1907 – 13 December 1949) was an officer of the British Indian Army and later Pakistan Army. He was the strongest contender to succeed General Douglas Gracey as the Commander-in-Chief, but unfortunately was killed in a plane crash before he took office. Lieutenant General Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah (14 March 1949 – 15 March 2020) was a governor of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Early life and education Syed was born on 14 March 1949 into a family belonging to the Mian (tribe). Iftikhar Malik (born 10 November 1949) was a Pakistani cricketer who played for Water and Power Development Authority. He was born in Lahore. Malik made two first-class appearance for the team, between 1978 and 1979. In the four innings in which he batted, he scored 40 runs, and, from 100 overs of bowling, took 8 wickets. Sayedna Iftekhar Ahmed Sharif (22 February 1924 – 4 March 1995), often mononymously credited as Iftekhar, was an Indian actor who mainly worked in Hindi cinema. He is known for his role as a police officer. Career Iftekhar was born in Jalandhar and was the eldest among four brothers and a sister. After completing his matriculation, Iftekhar did a diploma course in painting from Lucknow College Of Arts. Iftekhar had a passion for singing and was impressed with the famous singer Kundanlal Sehgal. In his 20s, Iftekhar travelled to Calcutta for an audition conducted by the music composer Kamal Dasgupta, who was then serving for HMV. Dasgupta was so impressed by Iftekhar's personality that he recommended his name to M. P. Productions as an actor. Iftikhar Ahmed (Kalat Cricketer)
Kalat was a first-class cricket team from the Pakistani city of Kalat in the north of Baluchistan province, about 150 kilometres south of Quetta. They had one season of first-class cricket in 1969–70, playing two matches in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. First-class matches The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was expanded from a 12-team tournament in 1968–69 to a 20-team tournament in 1969–70, and Kalat were one of the new teams. Their two matches took place in the space of 11 days in August 1969. Both were played at the Racecourse Ground in Quetta, and Kalat lost both by an innings. In the first match Kalat made 127 and 87 against Quetta, who declared at 402 for 8. In the second match Public Works Department declared at 524 for 4, and dismissed Kalat for 126 and 102. Nineteen players appeared for Kalat in the two matches, and there were two captains. No batsman totalled 100 runs, and no bowler took five wickets.
