Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury
Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury (born 1 July 1955) is a Bangladeshi academic. He served as the 17th vice-chancellor of the University of Chittagong. Education and career Chowdhury earned his bachelor's and master's from the University of Chittagong. He completed his Ph.D. from the University of Tsukuba in 1988. Chowdhury is a professor of sociology at the University of Chittagong. He joined the university in 1982. He served as the pro-vice-chancellor of the university during 2013–15. University Of Chittagong
The University of Chittagong ( bn, চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, caṭṭagram bishwabidyalay) is a public research university with multidisciplinary faculties situated across a 1754-acres hilly landmass in Fatehpur Union of Hathazari Upazila, north of Chittagong city of Bangladesh. This university has the largest campus among Bangladeshi universities. The academic activities of the university formally began on 18 November 1966. It has about 27,500 students and more than 900 faculty members. Shireen Akhter
Shireen Akhter (born 1 May 1956) is a Bangladeshi academic. She is the current and the first female vice chancellor of the University of Chittagong. Background and education Akhter was born at joarianala, Ramu in Cox's Bazar on 1 May 1956. Her father was Afsar Kamal Chowdhury and mother was Begum Lutfunnahar Kamal. Her husband is Latiful Alam Chowdhury. She is mother of one son and one daughter. Akhter completed her SSC and HSC in 1973 and 1975 respectively. She earned her bachelor's and master's from the University of Chittagong in 1978 and 1981 respectively.
