picture info	Iford, East Sussex Iford is a village and civil parish in the Lewes District of East Sussex, England. The village is located two miles (3.2 km) south of Lewes. The parish lies on slopes of the South Downs in the valley of the River Ouse. Notable buildings Iford parish sits to the north of Rodmell and to the south of Kingston near Lewes. History There has been a dwelling here since the Domesday Book and the origins of the present house are as early as the late 15th century or the early 16th. At that time the buildings were a wool factory and the seat of the Horton family who went on to become a successful wool family dynasty.
