''If You're Into It, I'm Out of It'' is the second album by electronic producer Christoph de Babalon, initially released on September 15, 1997 through Digital Hardcore Recordings. The album is considered a standout record on the label and has been acclaimed for its idiosyncratic dark and heavy atmosphere while achieving a combination of dark ambient and early breakcore, in addition to drum and bass. Since its release, it has gained a cult following and received critical praise. A remastered edition of the album was later issued as a double disc LP set through Christoph de Babalon's Cross Fade Enter Tainment imprint. Christoph De Babalon
Christoph de Babalon is a German electronic producer, experimental artist and DJ, best known for his work on Alec Empire's label Digital Hardcore Recordings, most notably '' If You're Into It, I'm Out of It'' (1997). He also is the co-founder of the label Cross Fade Enter Tainment (CFET). Biography Christoph de Babalon was born in Hamburg, Germany and stayed there for most of his life until 1999 when he moved to Berlin. After releasing a few recordings on smaller record labels in Germany and his own Cross Fade Entertainment Imprint, and being heralded as a favorite on John Peel's radio show in 1994, de Babalon signed to DHR in 1996, releasing a few EPs and later releasing his only full-length album for the label, '' If You're Into It, I'm Out of It'' in 1997. Lo-fi (also typeset as lofi or low-fi; short for low fidelity) is a music or production quality in which elements usually regarded as imperfections in the context of a recording or performance are present, sometimes as a deliberate choice. Jungle is a genre of dance music that developed out of the UK rave scene and sound system culture in the 1990s. Demdike Stare is an English dark ambient and electronic music duo formed by DJ Sean Canty and producer Miles Whittaker. The project was conceived in 2009 and is based in Manchester. History Demdike Stare was formed in 2009 by Sean Canty and Miles Whittaker, both of whom were already well-established in Manchester's music scene. Whittaker is also known for his work in Pendle Coven and under his solo projects, MLZ, Daughter of the Industrial Revolution, Suum Cuique, and Miles.
