If The Pig Had Wings
''Kdyby prase mělo křídla'' (If the Pig Had Wings) is an album for children. It includes songs by Petr Skoumal, based on rhymes by Emanuel Frynta and Pavel Šrut. The album was recorded in the studio of Petr Skoumal in 1990-1991 and produced by Bonton in 1991. A remastered version was released by Supraphon in March 2012. The title song is based on a rhyme "If Pigs Could Fly" by James Reeves. In 1996, Petr Skoumal together with stage director Jan Borna and actor Jan Vondráček turned the album into a performance staged in Divadlo v Dlouhé. František Halas
František Halas (3 October 1901 in Brno – 27 October 1949 in Prague) was one of the most significant Czech lyric poets of the 20th century, an essayist, and a translator. Life Born as the son of textile worker, Halas worked as bookseller. He was self-taught, without higher education. Jiří Lábus
Jiří Lábus (born 26 January 1950, in Prague) is a Czech actor. His brother is the Czech architect Ladislav Lábus. In 1973, he graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and joined the theatre Studio Ypsilon, where he remains employed to this day. He also appeared several times as guest actor in other theatres ( National Theatre, Theatre Viola, Theatre Ungelt). He performed several roles in both television and film. He gained popularity in Germany for his role of evil wizard Rumburak in the TV series '' Arabela''. Oldřich Kaiser (born 16 May 1955) is a Czech television, film, and stage actor known mostly for his comedic roles. Education and career Kaiser graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in 1978. He began his acting career with theatre performances, working at ''Studio Ypsilon'' in Liberec and later at the National Theatre in Prague. He made his screen debut in Karel Kachyňa's 1973 film '' Láska''. Jan Vodňanský
Jan Vodňanský (19 June 1941 – 10 March 2021) was a Czech writer, songwriter, singer and humorist. He was best known for his collaboration with musician Petr Skoumal. Biography Vodňanský was born on 19 June 1941 in Prague. He studied at Construction Faculty of the Czech Technical University, later he studied philosophy and history at Faculty of Arts, Charles University and obtained PhDr title. After his studies, he started working in radio and in 1964 he met composer and pianist Petr Skoumal, with whom he began to collaborate. After Vodňanský signed Charter 77 and became an enemy of the Communist regime in Czechoslovakia, the duo had to stop working. After the breakup of the duo, Vodňanský worked in Bratislava and performed in programs for children. After the Velvet Revolution, he lectured philosophy at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, and performed in theatres and on foreign tours. Divadlo v Dlouhé is a repertoire theatre with a permanent group of actors established in 1996 as a set financed by the Municipality of Prague.
