Idol 2009
Idol 2009 was the sixth season of the Swedish idol series and was broadcast by TV 4. The jury, identical to the previous year, consisted of Anders Bagge, Laila Bagge and Andreas Carlsson. Peter Jihde, the show's host, was also a continuation of the previous year's cast. The audition cities visited during the spring of 2009 were Gothenburg, Gävle, Malmö, Stockholm and Umeå, respectively. Around 11,000 people applied for Idol 2009, establishing a new Swedish record. During auditions in Stockholm on 25 April, Idol 2008 winner Kevin Borg performed for the candidates, as well as Johan Palm who finished fourth in Idol 2008. In Gothenburg, Erik Segerstedt from Idol 2006 performed; and in Malmö, Sibel from Idol 2005. In Gävle, Idol 2008 runner-up Alice Svensson sang to the applicants; and in Umeå, Daniel Lindström from Idol 2004. Ulf Ekberg
Ulf Gunnar Ekberg (born 6 December 1970), also known as Buddha, is a Swedish singer-songwriter, musician, businessman and television and film producer, best known as a founding member of the pop group Ace of Base, along with siblings Jonas Berggren, Linn Berggren and Jenny Berggren. Jonas Petter Berggren (born 21 March 1967) is a Swedish musician and singer-songwriter and record producer, also known as Joker. He started writing songs when he was seven, and continues to write for the Swedish band Ace of Base, which he is a founding member of, as well as other bands. He was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Eurovision Song Contest 2010 was the 55th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Oslo, Norway, following the country's victory at the with the song "Fairytale (Alexander Rybak song), Fairytale" by Alexander Rybak. Melodifestivalen 2010
Melodifestivalen 2010 was a Swedish song contest held between February and March 2010. It was the selection for the 50th song to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest, and was the 49th edition of Melodifestivalen. Five heats were held in the Swedish cities of Örnsköldsvik, Sandviken, Gothenburg and Malmö, with Örebro hosting the final ''Andra Chansen'' (Second Chance) round. After the five heats 10 songs had qualified to the final of the contest, contested in the Swedish capital of Stockholm, at the Globe Arena. After the voting of 11 juries and a public televote had been revealed, the final winner was Anna Bergendahl with the pop ballad " This Is My Life", which received top marks from the public televote, and placing 2nd after the votes of the 11 juries. Katrin Zytomierska (born 17 September 1977) is a Swedish blogger, columnist, television host, and businesswoman. She was born to a Polish-Catholic mother and a Polish-Jewish father.
