Ichirō Arishima
was a Japanese comedian and actor. Nicknamed "The Japanese Chaplin", he is best known outside Japan for his appearance as Tako, the promoter of King Kong in ''King Kong vs. Godzilla'' (1962). Arishima's real name was Tadao Oshima. He was born in Nagoya and both of his parents died when he was a teenager. His love of the theater began in childhood, and he moved to Tokyo in 1936 to pursue that interest. He spent the next decade working with various theatrical troupes until he made his film debut in 1947, with Shochiku Studios. He became a household name in Japan after his move to Toho in 1955. At Toho he was featured in two very popular series, the "Wakadaishō series" ("Young Guy") movies starring Yūzō Kayama, and the "Shacho" ("Company President") movies featuring the Crazy Cats (クレージーキャッツ) comedy team. Nagoya, Aichi

is a Japanese jidaigeki or period drama that was broadcast in prime-time in 1977 to 1978. It is based on Eiji Yoshikawa's novel Naruto Hichō. The lead star is Masakazu Tamura. Daichūshingura
(Dai Chushingura) is a Japanese television dramatization of the events of the Forty-seven Ronin. The first episode aired on January 5, 1971, and the 52nd and final episode appeared on December 28 of the same year. The NET network broadcast it in the Tuesday evening 9:00–9:56 prime-time slot in Japan. The series featured an all-star cast. The central actor was Toshiro Mifune, who portrayed Ōishi Kuranosuke; Yoko Tsukasa his wife; and kabuki actor Onoe Kikugorō VII their son Chikara. Ichikawa Chūsha VIII took the part of Kira Yoshinaka, but died after the filming of Episode 47; his brother Kodayū replaced him. Many actors appeared as guest stars in only a few episodes. is a 1979 Japanese film directed by Yasuo Furuhata. Inspired by Lockheed bribery scandals. Modeling on Kakuei Tanaka and Yoshio Kodama, the film depicts the collusion between Japanese right-wing organizations and the political and business world. Nagisa Oshima was due to direct this film. Plot Yamaoka is a fixer who made a man the prime minister of Japan, but he is being pursued for violating the Foreign Exchange Law and tax evasion in a fraudulent case involving the sale of aircraft. One day a boy tries to kill Yamaoka, but fails because Imaizumi stops him, and Yamaoka names him Koichi and makes him his subordinate.
