Icelandic Women's Handball Cup
The Icelandic Women's Handball Cup (Icelandic: Bikarkeppni kvenna í handknattleik), also known as Coca-Cola Cup since 2013 for sponsorship reasons, is an annual handball competition between clubs in Iceland. It is run by the Icelandic Handball Association. The current champions are KA/Þór who won their 1st title on 2 October 2021. Valur Women's Handball
The Valur women's handball team, commonly known as Valur, is the women's handball department of the Knattspyrnufélagið Valur multi-sport club. It has won the Icelandic championship 17 times. The Valur men's handball is a Iceland team handball club from Reykjavík, that plays in the Úrvalsdeild karla. History The Valur men's handball team has a long history in Icelandic handball, the club is one of the most successful in the sport in Iceland: no team has won the Icelandic Championship and the Icelandic Cup as many times as the Valur men's team. The team's greatest achievement was undoubtedly reaching the final of the EHF Champions League in 1980, which it lost against the German TV Grosswallstadt.
