Iceage
Iceage is a Danish punk rock band from Copenhagen. The band was formed in 2008 and has released the albums ''New Brigade'' (2011), ''You're Nothing'' (2013), ''Plowing Into the Field of Love'' (2014), ''Beyondless'' (2018), and ''Seek Shelter'' (2021). History Iceage were formed in 2008, when the members of the band averaged 17 years old. They signed to Escho to release their debut 7" in 2009 and later on also to Tambourhinoceros in Denmark and Dais Records in the United States. They were then picked up by What's Your Rupture? Records for international release, and their debut album ''New Brigade'' was released in January 2011 in Denmark and on 21 June 2011, in the US. In February 2013, Iceage released their second studio album, ''You're Nothing'', after signing with the independent record label Matador Records. Beyondless
''Beyondless'' is the fourth studio album by Danish punk rock band Iceage. The album was released through Matador on 4 May 2018. Background The first single for ''Beyondless'', "Catch It", was released on 12 February 2018. The single was given the Best New Track acclaim from ''Pitchfork''. Sasha Geffen praised the song for its complexity and unpredictability, saying that when it "slows to a false ending and then spins back up into a raucous, unhinged instrumental climax, it only makes his come-on sound like it could double as a threat." Seek Shelter
''Seek Shelter'' is the fifth studio album by Danish punk rock band Iceage. It was released on 7 May 2021, by Mexican Summer. A post-punk album with classic rock and Britpop influences, ''Seek Shelter'' experiments with diverse sounds that recalls the music of the Pogues, the Replacements, the Rolling Stones, and the Velvet Underground. Upon release, the album was met with widespread critical acclaim with praise towards its eclectic sound and poetic lyricism. Tambourhinoceros
Tambourhinoceros is a Danish independent record label and Music publisher. Background The label was created by two members of the band Oh No Ono in 2009 as a way for the founders to show the "burning love we have for music (our releases as well as art and music)". Its first release was Kristen and Marie's debut EP in May 2010. Tambourhinoceros became internationally known for its production of Danish indie pop band Treefight for Sunlight, which received positive ratings in both the US and the UK. On that band's debut album, ''A Collection of Vibrations for Your Skull'', a song entitled "Tambourhinoceros Jam" was included, which is assumed to be a tribute to the record label. Mexican Summer is an independent record label founded in 2009 by Keith Abrahamsson and Andres Santo Domingo.
